My daughter and grand daughters took a class on how to make raveoli, noodles, etc together, what fun, and I was hooked. My husband purchased this for me. Easy to use, durible, easy clean up and boy did we make a mess having fun. A friend of mine has one for over 10 years from the same company. Enjoy
After some years living in the US, I decided to buy an Imperia pasta machine like I still have in my house in Italy. Nice box, well organized, the machine seems still the same that I remember, but, unfortunately, it is not. The construction has now some defects probably due to a production cost containment, sharp and cutting edges on the body, on accessories fixing points, and on the roller spacing knob (now harder to set), cheap self-adhesive feet (one already loosen); the supporting structure, one time in cast aluminum alloy, well rounded and stiff, is now made from stamped stainless steel sheet left unfinished on the borders, needing attention when handling not to injure yourself. It works fine, but I think the manufacturer needs to work on the product's quality, very far from the older units.
I got this machine and love it. Once I got to know the dough and how it should feel. I also need to use a hand rolling pen to get it thin enough to get started in the machine. After the inital learning curve I have enjoyed it. I have given away my homemade pasta using home ground flour and people love it. It does make a nice gift... Once again Amazon provided me the place to find a good product.....
This was a present for mother's day, and I've used it several times since. I'm very much enjoying making fresh pasta with family and friends. The pasta roller and cutter attachments in this kit work nicely. I use my own recipe, as I did not like the one provided. You get four cutting options with this set, two on each attachment. To me, a novice, I could have probably gone with just one attachment as they both produce the almost the same noodles. So you could save some money there. THE BIG disappointment is the ravioli tray. Although the pockets are deep enough for a nice amount of filling, and the star shape is cute, the ridges are not high enough to cut the top layer of pasta and seal the ravioli.
I had a pasta machine quite a few years ago but the blade bent--guess it wasn't as sturdy as this one is-I was making pasta with the old one--nothing else. This machine is tough--I love it and the pasta it makes--very easy to use. I got a couple of attachments and they also work great too.
The item arrived in great condition and was shipped promptly. The kids and I love making fresh pasta. Meals only take about 20- 30 minutes to make from scratch and taste so much better than boxed pasta.
