- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2024Size: AdjustableVerified PurchaseThis is exactly what I ordered and seems sturdy and that it will work well. It has everything needed to set it over a fire and get cooking, plus a nice carrying case. I had to figure out how to get the rubber stoppers off the screw heads because they required pliers to remove, but that was no problem. The bottoms will need to be kept up (cleaned and oiled) as they have no bases will sink into into the ground a bit- also not a big problem. Excited to get out there and use it.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2023Size: AdjustableVerified PurchaseIt seemed wobbly at first, but turned out being quite sturdy. It held a cast iron 12-inch Dutch oven full of chili (pictured). The carrying case was a selling point for me, and I'm glad it came with one. This case allows you to carry it in your car/vehicle without getting soot on everything. The case also helps you keep up with the tripod better; I like that mine was black with a noticeable, bright, yellow zipper. The chain is also sturdy and is a good size for large pots.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2024Size: 60 InchVerified PurchaseThe tripod is awesome and we're enjoying it tremendously. I would suggest that the user get a hook on a stick (like a peavey) and/or heavy duty gloves to reach over the fire to open the lid if there is one on the pot you're using. The best part about this tripod is probably that it is adjustable to the size of your firepit; you can fine-tune the diameter by adjusting the leg spread.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2023Size: 60 InchVerified PurchaseFirst off, this is the tallest tripod I could find and I'm glad I didn't settle for a shorter one. We have a farely large fire pit at camp and I can easily access it without even bending down or stepping in the pit. It's super durable and worth every penny!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2023Size: AdjustableVerified PurchaseFor a collapsible tripod, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it holds weight very well, is surprisingly sturdy, and stores well. My only complaint is the placement for the chain, but did not appear to affect it's ability to stand and hold heavy weight.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent breakdown tripod, with a couple flaws
Size: AdjustableVerified PurchaseI got this because I wanted a breakdown tripod to go canoeing with to use my dutch oven. I like the carry case and design for the most part - compact but it still is quite heavy. Each leg has three sections and you can lighten it up by only using two if you want it lighter. The threaded rod ends come with plastic caps to protect the threads.
The chain is long enough, actually quite overkill for just hanging a pot or dutch oven from it, would prefer a lighter chain myself.
The only thing I don't really like is the coupling pieces that are welded on to the end aren't all straight from poor manufacturing resulting in kind in the legs. There's no reason this should happen with the manufacturing, especially being from Lodge.
