I chose this watch over my apple watch 8 because i hated having to recharge it, plus it would keep distracting me and redirecting me to my phone. I don't need another distraction in my life.So this watch is pretty dope.Why it's awesome-the metal case is beautifully polished and has thin bezels unlike those heavy duty plastic or g-shock watches with their hella buttons and ugly design-the numbers on the dial are pretty legible at arms distance, the indiglo light is very handy too. Also, i appreciate how the design team kept the amount of words on the dial minimal.- the timex watch displays the day of the week along with the today's date which is handy cause i never what day it is.constructive criticisms and opinions:-Changes i would make to the dial: - I would prefer Avenir Next font for the Numbers because the number 8, and 10 kinda look odd bc they're not perfectly circular and the number seven has an ugly bit on the tip that makes it stand out a bit from the other numbers. - i would make the second hand color matte silver or matte black to give the watch a refined and modern look, the red second hand gives it a retro look that is beautiful for others - i would some of the words and leave just the word Timex on the dial cause they don't have to be there. they could be engraved on the stainless steel backing - i would add those handy 5 minute markers on the outer edge of the dial because it would make reading the watch faster and easier -2 flaws that kinda irk me: -the indiglo light doesn't fully encompass the dial , there's just a tiny bit of the screen that cannot not light up and it looks a little ugly. - i get that there's probably something important in that notch, but if y'all could design a watch that fully lights up that would killer!-i wish the minute and hour hands were different and like the chrome ones with the refined tip from the weekender series. - this design does look like it has a slimmer design in the center of the dial/cannon pinion than those on the weekender series. the watch feels a little harder to read because i sometime cant tell where the hands begin and end and it would for them to increase the size difference between the hands, making them easier to distinguish

    I dare you to find another watch that has all these features. I tried and this was the only watch to meet my criteria. This is a very classy, lightweight, easy to read, affordable, water-resistant, analog watch, with a night light and a day/date display.

    Its style is a very understated classic round face with only one side button and no phony tachometer/compass or built-up "rugged" appearance. It has a very demure chrome appearance with a leather strap which works well for everyday use at home, work, or even for a night out.

    Being lightweight, it does not slide up and down on your wrist like some of the heavier more "manly" looking watches do. Since it's not overly large, it also does not yell out "look at me", rather it simply does it job quietly and out of the way.

    It is easy to read on many levels. The numbers are large, the font is a san-serif style without any fancy end strokes, plus they are bold and black on a white background.

    Amazon has some of the best prices out there, but even without Amazon's great deals, this watch will still run you under $50. A great price for a rare find.

    Some watches at this price range are not water resistant, however, this one can be taken into the shower or while washing dishes without any worries whatsoever.

    I used to think digital watches were easier to read and made more sense, yet the truth is, analog watches give you a better "sense" of time, as one can see visually what percentage of a particular hour has been "used up." A digital watch simply does not give you that same feeling. Plus, with its constantly moving second hand, it is very easy to orient oneself to the passage of time.

    Timex's Indiglo back light is quite unique and hard to find in other watches. A simple press of the one and only side button activates this glowing light that lights up the entire watch background for a super-easy to read dial in any grade of low-light or even pitch black. I think this feature alone makes Timex watches a must have.

    Finally, the best feature, in my mind, is the fact that it tells you what day of the week you're on (i.e., MON, TUE, WED, etc.) as well as the date (i.e., 12, 23, 31, etc.). Yes, maybe I'm a bit forgetful, but there are times, when you just need to verify the day you're on. Especially when there are holidays and you're thinking it's Sunday, when really it's a Wednesday. Sometimes it's a regular day and you just can't remember, it happens.

    In summary, this watch has a brilliant set of features you are not likely to find anywhere else. I was ready to spend $300 on a watch that fit the bill, and this one did it for under $30. Hands down, the best watch you can get with all these features at this price-point and even higher ones.

    I bought this watch after comparing several in the <$30 range. I was leaning toward the Timex Weekender for a while but eventually decided to go with this one because of the leather strap (I know you can get NATO leather straps that are compatible with the Weekender, but most of the reviews for those complained about the poor quality of the leather) and because it has the day of the week and month.

    The watch is very readable. The numbers are in a large sans-serif font. The indiglo feature works extremely well, but on my watch, the top ~2 square millimeters of the face remain unlit. Of course this doesn't affect visibility at all, it just doesn't look quite as nice. This may just be a problem with my watch. The minute hand may be just a tad thick to be very precise, but it's mostly fine.

    The strap seems to be of good quality leather. It's relatively thick, with a nice stitching down the sides. This was my first time wearing a watch, so I took a while to figure out which level was most comfortable. Initially I had to keep it so loose that the watch wouldn't stay on the top of my wrist, but now I can wear it one notch tighter with relative comfort. The strap feels a little stiff, but that could just be my unaccustomedness to wearing any watch.

    Aside from that, the watch is somewhat loud. You won't notice it most of the time, but you might if you're sitting alone in a quiet room. Not that that's a bad thing necessarily. It's kind of a cool sound. You might like it.

    Initially set up of the date takes a few minutes, but it's not too bad. You will have to change the day of the month at the end of any months with fewer than 31 days. This isn't really a pain either, but if you care greatly about your second hand exactly matching that of another clock you'll have to reset that, too.

    All and all a pretty good buy, I think. The watch was pretty much as described. I don't find myself wearing it as often as I thought I would though.

    This is a great watch, very easy to read. Big clear typeface, the numbers are legible even with a quick glance. So nice to have the bonus of a 24 hour clock too. The indigo feature helps in the dark of night and seems to forever. I really like the date feature too. I confess it took me a while to set this part up but once it’s done it’s really handy. The black watch band strap is 18 mm and soft comfy leather. If I needed more than one watch I would buy this same one again. This is my third timed indiglo watch and I think it’s my favourite.
