Product Description
Wilton Cookie Preferred Press Cookie Press
Amazon.com
The quickest way to make uniformly perfect butter cookies, known as spritz in the Scandinavian tradition, is with a cookie press. Especially during the holidays, spritz cookies become a family's favorite in such shapes as Christmas trees or snowflakes. The Wilton Pro Ultra II Deluxe has several advantages over other models. The clear barrel allows monitoring of the dough level inside, while the ergonomic, soft-grip trigger is a big improvement over uncomfortable metal handles, especially when multiple batches are made over the course of many hours. And, a non-slip ring on the bottom keeps the press upright on a cookie sheet without sliding around.
To use the cookie press, insert a shape disk, fill with room-temperature dough that is neither too soft nor too hard, and tighten the plunger rod. One squeeze of the trigger is usually enough to form a cookie. Sixteen disks with different shapes and four mini-shapes are included, along with an instruction and recipe booklet. After use, the press should be washed by hand in hot, soapy water and allowed to dry thoroughly before storing. --Ann Bieri

We loved it so much my friend bought one too, so that we each have one and can make them in half the time, when we are together. We are at the point where we are trying to think of excuses to make so many cookies. (we are going to try freezing half the dough for another day).
It was delivered quickly and arrived in pristine condition.
I think you will like this item too.
I was worried the handle would hurt my hand as I have a nerve problem but the handle is so easy to squeeze I can't feel it after my first batch of cookies. This is actually easier to use because one squeeze equals one cookie. You have to count the time with the electric press, which just keeps going and my cookies are never uniform.
The patterns are very cute and I like every one I have tested so far. The shapes are just right.
Overall I got exactly what I wanted with this. I didn't have to pay for random extras that I don't want, it is simple to put together and take apart, easy to clean and takes up little space. I am super happy.
I began trying with my Mother's old aluminum cookie press [dismal results]
then a battery operated one [un-reliable results]
then a home party one that worked well [ until Ol' Arthur took up residence in my only thumb]
Have a 2 year old grand and a 1 month old great grand. Thus renewing the cookie days.
I am more than pleased with this cookie press.
The suggestions would be as follows:
all room temp fats in the chilled bowl beat with chilled beater first slow till blended
then 2 minutes on high very light and fluffy, add the sugars 2 more minutes on high.
On slow drop eggs and extracts one by one
Stop mixer scrape down the bowl sides,
Dry ingredients Weigh the flour in separate bowl whisk dries together.
[a wee bit too much and the batter becomes too stiff to go through a press]
With mixer on low add dries by half cup full
until all are incorporated scrape bowl sides as needed with folding action .
With a deli sheet form dough into 2" round logs [this really does help]
cool pans completely between batches I keep 4 sheets going on baking day
You can get 35 cookies on a half size bakery cookie sheet
Last hint: Turn your AC very low in the summer & your furnace off in the winter
There is a reason these cookies are made most often in the winter
THE BATTTER DOES NOT LIKE TO BE OVERHEATED.
No master chef here but I do love to do things well.
A closet teacher at heart too. ENJOY
these are wonderful tender & light cookies.
PM if you have any questions about these directions
