    Everything I could want
I am a bedroom DJ connecting his laptop and a microphone to some my sound system and before I bought this mixer I would have to walk behind my powered speakers to turn down the microphone and input volumes down manually. Now that I have this fantastic little device I can do all of that without walking away from my MIDI controller. This mixer (or one like it) is a must-have middle-man if you're running a microphone to a powered speaker. Before when I connected my microphone to my APS15, there was an audible hiss coming from the speaker even when the switch on the microphone was off! Now that I connect my mic to the XENYX502 first, there's no hiss so I can just switch my mic on and off without worrying about compromising the music quality at the same time. This is due to the built-in pre-amp in this mixer, which improves overall sound input quality. Plus there are high and low EQs on the mixer specifically for the microphone, so I can turn down the lows if someone has a particularly deep voice to increase their audibility to an audience. With a good number of input and output slots you can really get creative with what you're using this for. For example you can plug in an iPhone to the microphone jack and use it as a sampler or to just play music through. Or you can use the separate headphone-out port to connect to a computer's mic-in port so you can record what you're playing through the mixer while people can hear it through the speakers. Finally, this thing is built incredibly well. It looks and feels very professional and is dense and heavy like a real professional audio accessory should. It makes my adjacent midi-controller (the Numark Mixtrack) look like a toy!Overall this is a fantastic mixer and really does everything you need for a very low cost. Yes the LED light is too bright, but some electrical tape fixes that up just fine. An on/off switch would've been cool too, but there's no reason you can't just leave this plugged in all the time; especially if you cover up the power LED.

I have used other Behringer products before, including a larger mixer (1204USB). When I found myself needing a new, highly portable, mixer for just a few channels I looked at ordering this unit.

I'm very glad I did! It works flawlessy, with no noisy signals. It's so simple that my 11 year old was able to pick up the controls quickly, too. While this doesn't have a TON of channels, it does the job it was purchased for and does it quite well!

Update: After several gigs with this I can say that it's durable and reliable. My ONE complaint is the non-standard power plug (hope I never lose it).

Nothing fancy here, gets the job done efficiently, cleanly, and economically. I needed to add a physical volume control to my computer monitors, and a headphone output so I can work late at night. I also like to be able to feed the monitors from my Ipod without having to turn on the PC. It does all those things flawlessly.

One of my primary uses of my setup is audio restoration of old, noisy, damaged tracks. This mixer is nice and quiet, it does not add any noise or distortion.

    Cons:
No power switch. Well, I plug it in to my desktop surge protector and voila! Power switch.

Searingly, eye-blindingly bright bright blue power LED. A tiny aluminum-foil "hat" and a bit of scotch tape, and the light is reflected and diffused downward and outward, partially illuminating the labels. Handy in a dim/dark room.

I ordered this tiny mixer specifically to use when I'm traveling and need to practice an instrument with tracks and don't want to carry along my next smallest mixer (12 channel). This thing works as good as my full sized multi-channel units and the 5 channels are sufficient for my travel needs.

I did have an issue with the first unit I received which was probably unique and not typical. The power supply uses a mini 3 pin DIN connector to connect to the mixer. With my copy I could not get the connector to fit in tightly so it would lose connection or have partial connection creating all kinds of havoc. It was so bad that event adjusting a knob on the unit might cause the loose plug to break contact. I contacted Amazon and discussed the issue with them and they offered to exchange it for a new one. A day later the new one arrived, and it works fine. The power cord on the new unit locks into the socket without much effort and is held solidly in place. I give this little mixer a rating of 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2016
To start off, let me say that I'm pretty new DJ. When I first started I had an extremely modest setup consisting of:

    - Numark iDJ Pro Controller
    - Apple iPad Air
    - TWO QFX Speakers (3 12" Woofers in each cabinet)
    - Pyle-Pro Microphone
    - 2 Stellar Labs Portable Light Stand
    - 8 RGB LED Stage Lights
    - 64 LED Monster Moonflower Beam LED Effect Light

When I got my second speaker, I was wondering how in the world I could connect both sets to my controller, all while sounding great AND on a tight budget... I asked the question here IF you could hook up to powered (active) speakers to one controller and all the answers came back with YES, using this unit. Sadly, I had ordered another brand (one with very good reviews), which failed after only 5 months, so I ordered this one and all I can say is I really like it.

I had only been playing with my 2 speaker setup for a few days, when I hosted a lounge party with it for a couple dozen people, and everything sounded great. Using an RCA cable I was able to hook up to this mixer easily and then ran 2 TRS cables from the mixer to the speakers. Setup took a mere couple of minutes. I previously had issues with feedback when running my mic from either the DJ Controller or directly from the speakers. Hooking the mic through this mixer worked wonderfully, with no sign of feedback.

There are negatives that I have, although they have not prevented me from doing gigs (I DID subtract a star for the first of these):
    - The power cable's plug that connects to the mixer is some sort of proprietary connector that doesn't "click" in or stay in very well for that matter. I had one time during dinner music where the plug disconnected from the mixer. Yup, it did, causing all music to go out. Had that been a paying gig, there could have been some serious issues. As it stands, I plugged it back in and kept going on. The other issue with a proprietary plug is that if it breaks, it MIGHT be hard to find a replacement.
-Sound Quality: I cannot quite put a finger on it, but this mixers sound is a little more tinny and lower than my previous, comparable mixer. To compensate for this I simply use the DJ Controllers volume/gain and bass/mid/treble knobs.

All in all, I DO like this mixer and would recommend it to others on a budget.

    This mixer is awesome,
I have been DJing professionally for forty years,
and I have used many high end mixers and this is as good & even better than some!
I use this now, in conjunction with my DJ controller (DJ controller has a poor sounding mic input) plug controller into this & my mic and it works a treat!
I've used it in a very busy mid sized and also, a very large venue and it holds its own perfectly!

The build quality is very good,

The connectivity is good for a mixer at this price,

The sound is excellent, rich bass with crisp top end!
This mixer is as good as some that are at a much much higher price than this!

This mixer was recommended to me a musician friend who also loves it.

As for some reviews that say there is noise, hum etc from the mixer, I've not experienced that & it sounds perfect.
And others have said the power plug can come loose! Mine fits in solidly so no issues with that either! Maybe Bheringer have listened & sorted this out?

I may be wrong, but the poor reviews could be caused by users that have not connected it up properly, and/or used inferior cables!

All in all if Used correctly you will struggle to find a better mixer at this price!
If you google “best compact audio mixers 2018”
You will notice that this mixer comes out Top!

Le but premier, a savoir l'alimentation fantôme, fonctionne parfaitement.
