Product Description
Founded in 1895, Schwinn is an American icon, building some of the best-known and best-loved bicycles of all time. From its very beginning in Chicago, Illinois, the Schwinn mission has been to develop bicycles that allow people to experience the confidence and freedom that comes from riding a bike. The Schwinn Roadster Kid's Tricycle is designed with a retro look and a steel trike frame, and its low center of gravity makes it easy to ride and perfect for young riders. Its adjustable sculpted seat moves forwards and backwards with five lock-in positions, making it ideal for growing legs or different family members. The rear deck is made of genuine wood with burnt-in Schwinn logo, while the scalloped chrome fenders provide a fashionable ride. A safety flag is included for added visibility. Take to the streets in style with mustache-style cruiser bars and a classic bike bell. Flowing fabric tassels make this a great gift for kids who love classic biker style. This tricycle bike comes unassembled, has a limited lifetime , and is recommended for two- to four-year-olds.

To begin, the design of the trike is great. The smooth curves and retro styling make this really eye-catching. The paint, chrome, and trim are beautiful. The wooden, chrome-trimmed deck in back is a great touch which my son uses frequently to tote around toys, etc. The thick, fully-treaded, pneumatic tires are great and, after a year and a half of use, have not cracked or deflated in the slightest. Even the quality of the well-secured, fabric handlebar tassels is impressive. The inclusion of a steel handlebar bell is yet another nice touch.
The low center of gravity makes this a supremely safe vehicle. Not only does it look cool, but I can't imagine this thing tipping over. As a matter of principal I still insist that my son wears a helmet, but that has more to do with me teaching him good safety habits than anything else because I doubt the helmet will ever have a chance to do its job. It's as if a steel-framed bicycle cross-bred with one of the "Big Wheels" we adults all loved as children.
Please be aware that this tricycle is big and the reach from the seat to the pedals is far, even when the seat is adjusted to be as close to the pedals as possible. I'd say most kids can start using it around 2 1/2 years (sorry that's a little vague, but I'm not sure how to properly measure the seat/pedal distance and equate that to a precise height). The flip side of this is that it will last a long time (with regard to supporting your child's growth). When Santa brought this for my 22-month old, he could barely reach the pedals and he's always been quite tall for his age. For us, it was no problem though; he just scooted around on it until he could reach the pedals, which was easy given to the low profile.
As far as I'm concerned, if you're in the market for a tricycle and your child is big enough to reach the pedals, there is simply nothing else worth considering. If your child is not quite big enough, but will be soon, I'd recommend you at least consider waiting so that you can purchase this tricycle rather than any other. Zero complaints.

#3 as of two weeks is perfect ... it's a cool looking tricycle for sure. bold paint, cool fenders, that standing board on the back is neat as well. the low center of gravity means highly unlikely to tip unless going at VERY fast speeds.
Assembly is a breeze for the most part. And you should be able to have it all together with proper tools within 15-mintes (perhaps as long as 30-minutes)
You can adjust the seat which is of course awesome to accommodate different sizes which is second most important to ... real rubber tires. plastic trike/big wheel tires (I can even remember as a child some 35 years ago) are maddeningly frustrating due to slipping. With the roadster, tire slippage is no issue
My 2-year old loves this tricycle and he is constantly complimented on how cool it looks which, for a 2-year old to hear from his big cousins, may make him happiest of all
behind so this helps him learn to pedal. Bike is well made and we are very pleased with this purchase.
