Pro's and Con's

Pro's and Con's
I've had the CMW-200 for a few weeks now and so far it's performed well. The Pros's and Con's are:Pros:1) Inexpensive, I paid $180.2) Fairly compact for a combo unit. I had limited counter space and was replacing a 1.1 cf unit. It fits ok when I push it all the way back to the backsplash, however you need to pull it out at least 3" when using the convection mode due to the heat generated, which is substantial.3) Reheats food well using convection and the microwave works well too. I regularly grill salmon outside and it came out fantastic in the CMW-2004) User menus are pretty easy to understand although there are a ton of features I haven't used yet.5) Reliability......to soon to tell although I purchased an extended warranty when I bought it through Square Trade.6) Convection mode has a warmup stage and then cooks at that temp which is very nice and easy to use.7) the size is perfect for quick heat ups or for single people. It's not huge, but I don't use it for large items anyway. I prefer the smaller footprint due to counter space limitations.Cons:1) the stainless finish shows finger prints easily2) the convection heating element is very exposed and will become covered with food residue if you cook anything that splatters.3) the unit becomes dangerously hot when using convection and will burn you and even damage countertops if you don't protect them. I measured surface temps up to 160F on the side and back near the heating elements. Be sure and allow for at least 3" of clearance in the back for heat dissipation. DO NOT TOUCH THE BACK OR SIDES OF THE UNIT IN CONVECTION MODE OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!.4) the door latch requires enough force to open that you sometimes push the entire unit back when trying to open the door. this may reuire some non-slip feet under the unit to prevent this annoying sliding.5) the convection unit sticks out the back of the unit an extra 3.5", plus you'll need an extra 3" when using convection mode, so you'll eat up some countertop space with this unit.
