So, the perfect solution is this great product. I was quite skeptical that something so cheap would work. But it is tremendous. It's tiny, convenient, comes with a little pouch and disconnects and reconnects from the tap in about a second. It comes with two tips (one pink, one blue) which can be swapped out in a second also. In use, you get full control over pressure and temperature, it's completely silent, and you never have to fill up a reservoir ever again.
Installation is a cinch for all but the most intellectually challenged - it should take no more than about two minutes. For me, the adaptor didn't fit the tap threads, but a trip to Ace Hardware for a $3 thread adaptor fixed the problem. You may have to budget for a trip to the hardware shop (in terms of both time and money) to buy a thread adaptor also.
Now that it's working, it's absolutely brilliant. It's akin to a miniature car wash for each of your teeth. My mouth never felt so clean save for immediately after a trip to the dental hygienist. I get a really nice tingly fresh feeling in my now amazingly healthy gums. Prior to using this product I had an issue with bleeding gums, but now this problem is gone completely.
There aren't really any major downsides to the product. Initially I wasn't entirely sure about the build quality, but it's worked perfectly for the past six months, being used twice a day, every day. Were it to fail, given that it is so cheap, I'd buy another one immediately, but given my experience of using it, I think one might get several years use out of it. There isn't the pulse-pulse action of the electric units, but this doesn't bother me at all - if anything I think the pulse-pulse approach is probably engineered more to conserve water (from the undersized reservoirs) than for any therapeutic benefit. It's not something that I miss.
I really can't recommend this product highly enough. And I also implore you not to buy a Waterpik.
After a week of using it, I am thoroughly impressed. Swapping out my faucet aeretor with the one that came with it was a piece of cake, and the first time was messy because I had no idea how to hold it inside my mouth, but once I got the hang of it, I think this is amazing. Using this after a meal is a major eye opener to see all the food particles coming out. I think there are some really good reviews for this already, so I don't want to repeat all the good things that people have been saying, but for me I think there are some positives that others may consider:
1. Water temperature - you control the water temperature dynamically by controlling your faucet - make your water warmer, your spray is warmer - unlike container based devices where the temperature starts with whatever temperature water you put in the container, this is a huge plus.
2. Power - when I saw "faucet-powered" I cringed a little - can faucets deliver the same power that motors can? The answer is a resounding yes! In fact this one has 4 power settings - I started with 4 because I didn't think that will be powerful enough. It almost felt like it will cut my gum. So turning it down to 3 and further controlling the faucet I can set it to virtually any power I am comfortable with - and if I need a little more power for my back teeth and a little less for my front - that is no problem at all - just increase the faucet power a bit!
3. Noise - this thing is virtually silent except for the sound of the water. Thats perfect since my sonicare while great does get a little annoying with its whining noise. This one all you hear is the water.
So far, I am impressed and for this price, I don't mind if it breaks in a year.
At first I was a bit worried since I'm not currently in the U.S. and wasn't sure that the faucet would be the same. Fortunately it worked with no problems. Installation was pretty simple and quick.
So far it seems to work very well and it's a great not to have a tank. The only thing I have noticed is that the water control does not really make much of a difference when adjusting. However, I do like the snap on feature that let's you connect and disconnect the unit for use. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because I am not really sure on the quality of this item. I'm worried that with some time it will not hold up to constant use. I will update later on this.
Pros:
-Easy Install
-Good flow
-Great snap-on connector feature
Cons:
-Worthless adjustment control
-Quality still in question

I bought it on December 27, 2017 and on October 26, 2018 the faucet adaptor fell off. When I tried to screw it back on I noticed a crack in it which rendered it useless. So I guess it lasted 10 months.
