I tried the alloy which is a grey shade and midnight which is navy blue. I liked the alloy shade, but I wish it were just a touch darker. I loved the navy blue. Easy to apply and stays on well. I didn't have problems with smudging or smearing. If you make a mistake you may have a harder time because this doesn't wipe off as easily as some others, but I found that to be a good thing. Nice, consistent even line with just the right amount of liner distributed. I definitely want to get other shades and I am very happy with the Stila brand and with this product in general. It was exactly what I was looking for.

I'm picky-- I want a liquid gray liner with no shimmer, just like "Alloy". That's harder to find than you'd think! I've probably tried them all, or at least all of them under $30.

This doesn't stay on all day, but it is pretty darn close. I usually need to touch up only once in the workday, then again if I'm going out after. However, I have really oily skin and oily lids, and I've never found a product that stays on any better than this unless it's an intense formula that hurts my skin. If you have oily skin, this is a good product for you.

COST: if you aren't sure about spending over $20 for a liner, trust me that this one is worth it. It never dries out and it lasts for months. I even accidentally left the cap off mine for a whole day, so I recapped it and stored it upside down, and it completely recovered.

COLOR: I love "Alloy," which is a true gray, not a dark charcoal gray. It looks great with my blue eyes during the day, and it's still dark enough to carry over into evening.

FEEL: In addition to holding on really well (as mentioned above), it dries quickly and feels like nothing, super light weight. It's easy to touch up with a q-tip for about 30 seconds after applying.

I additionally included a swatch comparison for NYX black liquid eyeliner to intense labradorite. I am not the best at makeup eyeliners but found the tip (pointed sponge texture) easy to work with. I’ve owned the white liner for about 2 weeks and find that it lasts throughout the day well, even through workouts. I did find that alloy is WAY darker than the pictures provided in their “swatches”. It’s more of a dark grey.

This gives a medium line or finer line if using gently. Alternatively thicker lines if pressure is applied alongside. It is of a good texture, very easy to apply, tidy and of both a partial matt and glossed appearance. Stays on well and doesn't move. Is really easy to remove when required and if left on overnight through tiredness or forgetfulness, it doesn't look too shabby at all the next day, bedding is eyeliner free too. The cap is easy to remove when needed and fits snugly when not. A nice quantity of product supplied and the colour is bold but not bright making it ideal for day and night. A striking look can still be achieved with a little pressure thus giving thicker strokes and a bolder look. For comparison in appearance a fresh tattoo is relatively of the same hue without pressure being applied. This eyeliner saves much time and mess!
