Product Description

Made in Germany and loaded with features, this Rowenta Focus steam iron makes easy work of removing wrinkles from fabric. The iron’s smooth-gliding stainless-steel soleplate features 400 steam holes to ensure thorough steam distribution and time-saving efficiency, while its stainless-steel precision tip maneuvers effortlessly over collars, along seams, and between buttons. The iron works with tap water (no need for distilled) and powers on with a simple turn of the thermostat knob, which comes with clearly marked low to high heat settings and options for nylon, silk, wool, cotton, and linen. The iron auto-adjusts the steam output to match the soleplate temperature (turn auto-steam off for dry ironing). It also offers? Burst of steam? To remove tough wrinkles and vertical steam for drapes and hanging garments. For safety and peace of mind, the iron shuts off automatically after 8 minutes if left unused in the upright position and after 30 seconds if left in the horizontal position or tipped over. An anti-calcium system prevents impurities for clean steam, and a self-clean system flushes out loose mineral deposits for optimal performance. From work shirts to table linen, the Rowenta Focus steam iron gets the job done. Anti-scale function - Integrated anti-scale and Anti-scale setting.

It's a good iron overall, BUT definitely has cons

It's a good iron overall, BUT definitely has cons
This iron is great. My mom bought it in 2019 and it's still working wonderfully, so when I needed an iron myself I decided to go with one that's been tested time and time again. Unfortunately, I wasn't as lucky with this SAME EXACT iron bought from the SAME EXACT seller on Amazon. Not only does it sometimes leave brown-colored stains on clothes (only notice on lights) from the steam option, but the bigger issue more recently (and this has been going on for months) is what's in the photos - it spits out some brown gunk from the steam holes whenever it "spits out steam" and this stuff gets all over the clothes, ironing board, floors, you name it. It's a nuisance! I clean the iron as per the manual every 2 weeks (or once a week if I feel like it would benefit and prevent this problem). Last time I cleaned it, put it away and then when I needed to use a few days later, this is the result in the photos. It was CLEANED!! So what is this stuff and how do I stop it from happening again?? Very frustrating and disappointing.

This product was received on 4 feb but i opened it today and found that the item is broken and defective,
the water tank cover is broken.
I have noticed that past few items which have been delivered have had problems and this is happening again and again. Such an expensive item should have been checked properly before despatching.
