Product Description
The powerful 16” 14.5 Amp Electric Chainsaw is packed with modern conveniences that make it easy to use. The auto-tensioning and auto-lubrication systems make sure this saw is always in peak operating condition. These features provide the user with a perfectly tightened and well-oiled chain, which not only significantly increases the cutting efficiency, but also extends the life of the tool. And the built-in oil tank has a window, so you can see just how much oil you have left. The chain brake shuts the chain down quickly when you need it to. The metal spike bumper grabs into the wood so you have a safer, smoother cut. And the specially designed full-wrap front handle and rear rubber grip give you options to find a comfortable hand-hold. This saw has a 14” cord. The extension cord holder keeps them out of the way and lets you unravel more as you need to. And it’s only 11 lbs without the oil, so anyone can carry it around the yard and use it for long periods. The 14.5 Amp motor uses a 120V~60 Hz power supply and spins the chain at 32 ft/s. The 16” chain will fell a standing tree of 16” in diameter and easily cut up a 30” log that is already on the ground. That chain has 57 links, and a pitch of 3/8”, and a gauge of 0.05”. This is a rugged chainsaw, made so that anyone can tackle backyard projects with confidence.

Here's why! I've owned it 2 years, so far.
1. Best chain saw I've ever owned. Worked strong and fast through all the trees I've needed to cut over past 2 years. That includes 2 tornado events a year apart. Probably cut down and cut up 20 trees, Many 3' in diameter, from around my cabin and my farmhouse. Now I live in Houston. This past weekend, Hurricane Harvey came to visit and stayed too long. We got the tropical winds and 40"+ of rain. Miracle of miracles, I only need to cut up one pecan branch about 20' long and 9" in diameter. I had forgotten that last time I used it, the clutch gave up just as I was done. Didn't know what was in store for me in trying to get a part for it or if the warranty was still good or what good it was for... It was ALL GOOD!
2. Never ran out of gas or failed to start because of bad gas! My 100' extension cord has always been enough, I could reach all the trees just fine! If I had to, I might use a longer, heavier cord to reach further.
3. Never got tired pulling that dang starter cord! There IS NO starter cord!
4. Plenty of power, yet light weight.
5. Easiest bar and chain adjuster ever in the world.
6. Long-ass warranty. I think it's 3 years. I'm 2 weeks shy of 2 years. The clutch went bad... can't say as I'd blame it. It's been working really hard. I called up and for $17.50, they're gonna ship me a replacement unit. I don't have to box up mine and send it to them. They said I could keep it for parts or recycle it. Well, heck yeah, I'm gonna keep it for parts. You bet. I'm in the Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey area of Houston and when they heard that, they gave me expedited shipping, too! NO EXTRA CHARGE. Usual charge for 3-day Fed EX is only $10.50. But that bit of kindness really helped me during this stressful time.
7. Online chat rep immediately gave me the return info. Was pleasant, quick, and didn't ask any questions other than address and model number.
8. I had to call the office for the payment. They were so kind and helpful. I was amazed at the quality of service.
9. 2 years and all the trees and I'm still on the first chain!!!! Nice!
10. This dang thing only cost me $75 bucks and had free Prime Shipping! O.M.G.
11. No pulling it out of the shed only to find it full of bad gas and having to drain the tank and carb and clean it all out and mix and refill with new gas and get all smelly... only to do the same thing six months later when I needed it again. Didn't happen. So I guess, it's really an 11 star rating like the amps in This Is Spinal Tap.
Today I'm beginning to clean up with over six million other Texans and we have long memories. In this case, I'm holding onto my long memory of the quality of this product, the company, the staff, and the warranty! Don't mess with Texas or Worx, Y'all! Worx worx and if it quits Worx gets ya back working! Hard to ask for more.
This saw is used in my woodshed where the vast majority of the cutting takes place. I cut 8 foot lengths on the woods and bring them home for processing. I purchased this saw in the fall of 2019. For $60 or so how much could I loose, right? I have now cut over 15 chords of wood with this saw and feel that I can write a reasonable review.
It has a few quirks but I think that the advantages massively outweigh them. First, it only costs $60. It has plenty of power, almost as much as my Stihl MS310 and it weighs half as much. The chain is very aggressive, cuts fast and keeps an edge better than the Stihl chains. I love the fact that I can cut a few logs, lay the saw down, stack them, pick the saw back up and just have to pull a trigger to start back sawing. No gas or exhaust fumes and a lot less noise.
The downsides are there but small. You may read the occasional review saying that the chain does not stay tensioned well. This is true, you will probably have to retension the chain 3 times as often as a normal gas saw but it literally takes all of 5 seconds without tools to retension it. It is a complete non-issue. The other 2 items are more like quirks than faults. It does not like to cut on the tip, period but it cuts on top of the better than any saw I have ever owned. The other thing is that in logs over 8 inches in diameter or so it likes to have just a little tiny bit of clockwise pressure while cutting. Have not figured that one out yet and it does it even with a brand new chain.
General advice, you will need a minimum of a 15 amp circuit and a 12 gauge extension cord for this saw. I promise, it will burn up a 14 gauge cord, i did that already.
Bottom .line, $60, lots of power, light weight, low noise and no gas. If this saw died tomorrow I would have another one on the way before the motor cooled off.
The only negative issue I had was with all the oil draining out overnight after every use. I emailed Worx to ask if this was normal or not, and according to their support people, this *IS* normal (see Q&A for actual response from Wrox), and the solution is to DRAIN THE OIL OUT after every use or it will leak, just like it does for me. I was really surprised since many people don't have this problem, but I sure did. It leaked oil before I ever used it, and every time after. I am very unhappy about the fact that it leaked oil all over the place and cause a big mess I had to clean up, and NOWHERE in the manual does it say you REALLY should drain the oil or it may all drain out overnight. However the reality is that it really isn't that big a pain to just drain the oil out before storing it, so I'll knock off one star for a really goofy design flaw (IMHO), otherwise this chainsaw works well, as advertised. Just don't forget to drain the oil! Or get a different product that doesn't leak oil :\
UPDATE: even after draining all the oil, there was apparently a significant amount left somewhere in the oiling system and it continued to leak out a nice large puddle of oil overnight. I can't comprehend why it was designed to work this way, the least they could do is supply something like a snap on oil pan to catch the inevitable oil mess, or at least warn you in the documentation. I'm changing my mind on this purchase and now I regret that I didn't get something else that doesn't leak oil all over. I plan on returning this, it's a dud.

voy a encargar 2 cadenas de repuesto....
me preocupa, que no veo en accesorios y partes, el engrane principal, agradeceré si alguien sabe donde conseguirlo o si hay alguno de otra marca que le quede... gracias..
Here are some points that I think are important (I am a first time chainsaw owner):
1. Get a 4L container of chain oil. The little bottle that comes with the saw will get used very quickly
2. The saw came with a very short (about one foot long) cord with a "funny" plug on the end. I was quite surprised - usually when you buy an electric tool, you are able to plug it into a wall outlet, but not with this saw. You need to buy a proper extension cord to use it.
3. I found that the bar was getting very hot at times. When I removed the cover to clean up around the drive gear, I noticed that the gear was also quite hot. The motor was never hot, by the way. I wonder what the official duty cycle of this saw is, but it is obviously not designed to be used for hours with no breaks. I am going to remember to let it cool down periodically when using it. However, I was really pushing it to the limit - I was burying the entire length of the bar in the wood at times.
Overall, I feel that this saw has plenty of power to cut even 16"+ wide logs. It's certainly powerful enough for most applications. The biggest unknown to me is how long it will last. It has 3 years warranty, and I feel that for the price I paid, this saw will not owe me anything after 3 years of service.

Great for the the amount of times i need to use this.
No issues with gas going bad, even with gas stabilizer, and more importantly, trying to start it... this electric one, add chain oil, plug it in and cut :) so i am very pleased with the product.
