Bomb proof but fairly heavy for backpacking
Finally got a chance to run this sleep system through the gamut of seasons. Always used in the back of my truck under the stars. Took it to Lake Tahoe in the summer and it was 45 at night. It was great with just the black bag and sleeping in my underwear. I took it to the Grand Canyon in the winter and it was 11 at night! Now that is very cold! I had all my clothe plus a hoodie on but the bag still kept me dry and warm! There was heavy frost on the Gortex bag in the morning. The price of this sleep system is worth it even just for the Gortex Bivy which is high quality. My only negative feedback is that it is a heavy sleep system, definitely now something you pack for the PCT. But for car camping and sleeping under the stars with no tent it is ideal. Great value for the cost.
