Great for what it is.
I researched several similar products before making a purchase. I ended up with the Whitmor Laundry Butler because my first choice would not ship to Alaska. First, this is definitely not a commercial laundry butler as the name implies. I would not personally use it in a commercial/laundry mat setting. For home use, it's great. It went together quickly and easily. It took me about 20 minutes and even without the instructions, it was pretty obvious where all of the pieces go. You need a Phillips screwdriver for assembly. A couple of reviews caught my attention when I was researching my purchase - in one review the hanging bar was bent over, purportedly after the owner hung laundry on it. In another, the whole thing fell apart during its first use. Honestly, if this thing is put together correctly, I have no idea how either of those things could happen. I would posit that in those cases where there was a catastrophic failure that one of the following happened: 1) a counterfeit product was received 2) it was not put it together properly and/or the screws were not tightened, or 3) mom didn't get the true story about what happened in the college dorm room.If you're considering this for light home use, I think it's a fine choice. If you're looking for something heavy duty that will get a lot of use, spend the money and buy something through a commercial vendor.

I was looking for a good rolling cart to hold laundry supplies, and also needed a way to hang up clothes while doing the laundry, because I don't have an actual laundry room anymore, just a closet for the washer/dryer. I can't tell you how happy I am that chose this cart. There is plenty of room in the basket to hold all my supplies, a good sized hanging bar, and even a shelf underneath. I just tuck it into the corner of the office and wheel it in and out at need. It is sturdy, rolls easily, and I can see getting years of use out of it. The price was very reasonable, in my opinion. No wonder the reviews were better than a lot of more expensive ones I looked at. Also, most of the others sounded like a nightmare to put together, speaking of which...
Regarding Assembly:
I'd like to give this cart a BONUS STAR for assembly. The instructions are sketchy, mostly pictures, but sufficient because the cart was really easy to put together. All I needed was a Philips screwdriver and it seriously only took about 10 minutes, no exaggeration. Honestly it was a cake-walk compared to some "easy assembly" stuff I've has the displeasure of putting together. I was all ready for an arduous process on this one but *boom* a few minutes and I was done. I was thrilled, I tell you. I did have a little help from someone holding bars steady while I put in screws, which might have made it slightly easier, but I could have done it completely alone just fine.
P.S. I am not a big, burly, handy-man saying it was easy, I'm a reasonably handy woman saying it was easy.

I love everything about this cart! It's easy to put together. At first I started at the top which was so easy. Then I thought no, I need to start at the bottom. I left the top 3 pieces together and started at the bottom and worked my way up. Although I did put the nice sturdy wheels and the bumpers on last so it wouldn't get away from me. There are no word instructions, but a very detailed picture. It says it'll take 20 minutes. Well it took me a bit longer, well a lot longer. I'm a 65 year old woman with a bad back and that's why I bought it. There is no more lifting heavy clothes baskets, carrying them from one room to the opposite side of the house then bending down to pick out the clothes, put them in the washer, get more clothes, back and forth, back and forth. I use the basket as a hamper and roll it to the other end of the house and just reach in and get the clothes out as it sits 16" from the ground to the bottom of the basket. It's a real blessing! I put hangers across the top bar and there are knobs on each end so they won't fall off. Under the basket is a wire shelf. If I have a lot of towels, I'll put them there, or sheets will go there. It wheels so easy in any direction and two of the wheels have locks. You can put the locking wheels on any corner. It's a great laundry basket. Other ones with wheels are so expensive compared to this one that offers so much.

Even though I live alone in an apartment I have lots of clothes, a washing machine and plenty of dirty laundry by the time I have a day off from work. Those plastic laundry baskets never hold enough and as I get older picking them up isn't as easy as it once was. After checking measurements on Amazon I decided to buy this Whitmor Commercial Round Laundry Hamper. It was the best decision I've made in a while. Assembly was easy and the directions are a basic, exploded view of the product. Only issue I came across was with the round black plastic cup-like pieces that mount over the casters. They're there to protect the casters and anything that comes in contact with the wheels, so you don't scratch your appliances, for example. I decided to keep them off because they interfered with tightening the nut on the casters. I think a design change would solve this. All four casters are heavy duty and replaceable at any hardware store. I recommend taking one with you to the store to match the threads.The hamper is easily accessible and the fabric is a heavy plastic/canvas material and seems to be easy to clean with a wet rag. The top of the fabric rolls over the top metal hoop and attaches back down on itself with some metal hooks sewn on and spaced around the hamper. This helps to keep the bag open and it also protects against damage when you roll the hamper into your washing machine. The dimensions I took are 23.5" wide and deep from outside edge and 32.5" tall fully assembled. I'd recommend this hamper to anyone with kids or lots of laundry like me. It's large, very portable and well built. Now all I need is a day off from work.

This is the best laundry sorter cart currently on the market! I've been trying to find this model for a year to upgrade from a similar plastic, much flimsier, version of this. After a year of Wayfair pushing out the restock date, this finally became available on Amazon. I had bought a similar model with a hanger bar which was quite loud rattling when rolling the cart. The divided sections were hung by metal hooks and the laundry bag kept sticking to & lifting out with the clothing. This Whitmor simplistic/minimalist model is very sturdy, and much quieter. Love that the laundry bag is one piece and doesn't lift off while loading the laundry machine, yet removeable if you need to wash it. The heavy duty wheels are a plus. Totally worth the year-long wait and every penny!
