I read all the customer reviews. Everyone agreed this is adorable and a great shower gift, but many said it was hard to dry out in between uses. Because I remember putting towels in the sink so my son and daughter (who are now 28 and 18) would have a nice soft cushion under and around them when I bathed them in the sink -- I didn't let that bother me. This certainly couldn't be any harder to squeeze out and wash/dry than that was... and it's certainly much softer and more cushy (not to mention beautiful).
I bought this for my son and daughter-in-law's baby shower. This was not on their Baby Registry. They requested a baby bath that goes in the tub (which I got) and the little stool with built-in organizer so they can sit next to the tub (which I also got). I don't think the kids think they'll ever bathe the baby in the sink -- how gauche... but every older mom knows they will. Bending over the tub is hard on the back, especially when the baby is tiny. Standing up at the sink is much easier. Having the baby cuddled in these cool 'petals' will make it easier to have hands-free. I can't wait to see everyone's reaction at the shower. This is beautiful. I'll try to post more once we actually get to use it.
