To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
These gloves are very true fitting - I hate gloves that are too loose when they are a small or a medium; I'd even suggest some who are between a medium and large might want to order a large. They also look nicer then they do in the photo - I was worried that the alternating black/grey pattern would be too pronounced, but it is more subtle and will still look good with a nicer coat. My reason for the reduced star is that one of the key functions I wanted with the gloves do not work well: the touchscreen feature. The thumb works great for the touchscreen. However, the other four fingers do not work on my iPhone. That is very disappointing, since that severely limits how well I can use the phone. The gloves are nice enough that I'll still keep them, but it is unfortunate.
I asked for these for Christmas, wanted a midweight gloves for my commute. I liked the leather palm for driving.
Asked for these for Christmas due to leather palm (for driving) and they looked midweight (don't have to take them off halfway thru drive because they are too warm).
I'm typically between a medium and large for gloves, I got large, and they are a bit big - that's to be expected.
Partly because they are a bit big, and partly because it just doesn't work that well, the touchscreen control kinda stinks.
They are very warm, warmer than I expected. I used them to snow blow my driveway for twenty minutes in single digit temps with no problem.
One gripe I have is that there is a very uncomfortable seam right at the fingertip where the touch screen sensitive leather meets the rest of the material. It's a pretty hefty seam and it's right near the tip of your finger so pretty uncomfortable. The leather tips also let a bit of cold in.
These gloves are very warm even in high winds! They are also very accurate on a touch screen so I don't have to freeze my hand off answering/using my phone or changing songs on my iPod. However I was slightly disappointed to find that they only have touch functionality on the thumb and index but that's basically all you need unless you like to play multi touch tablet games in the snow... They look really nice, it's not hard to attain a nice grip and they fit my long hands perfectly.
These are nice. The touch screen fingers work fine. I only gave 4 stars because there is no way you would be able to type/text accuratly on a smart phones keyboard. The gloves will keep my hands warm, and are not too bulky.
