They DO NOT come with any instructions at all!!!!Tools needed for the best and easier installation:Phillips screw driver-reg sizeA drill and 1/8 drill bitPencil and measuring tapeRubber malletClaw of the hammerLadder or somethingAnother personI bought 7 these rods for my windows and a closet. I bought both sizes they come in too. I bought the longer ones for a closet and a window that actually is two windows next to each other, touching actually. I have installed 4 of them so far.The brackets come with a plastic anchor and screw. (See picture) Note: install anchor flush to the wall, but make sure they are not damaged before doing this. Then put the bracket on the wall over the anchor, then put the screw inside the anchor and screw the screw in with the screw driver. So the anchor is behind the bracket. You have to drill a hole first using a 1/8 drill bit and go into the wall about 2 inches deep, in order to install anchors or if you don't use them in order to install the screw easily into the wall. Not best thing to do, anchors are best. (See picture)Use a RUBBER mallet to put anchors in, carefully. I used a metal hammer and well it smashed the head of the anchor where I couldn't use it, and one of them bent, so the screw could not go in. Note: to remove these anchors use the claw on a hammer, but do not wait til it's flushed to the wall, if you messed it up. I do not know how you remove anchors once they are flushed into the wall haha, the claw didn't work for me. Carefully do this because the plastic ends can tear off and then you can't get the anchor out. Luckily it comes with extra anchors and screws, and I did it very carefully, I only missed up 2 anchors out of all of the ones I installed. Each rod uses 2 screws and 2 anchors per window, one for each side. For longer ones it will have a 3rd bracket for the middle for more support, so these have extra ones too. Also you HAVE TO use a screw driver to screw the screws into the anchor, a drill will not work. I installed 4 of these kind, 2 longer kind that had 3 brackets because they were longer. And the drill would not work. It will strip your screw! But they go into the anchors super easy with a screw driver! For me it just tired my arms because I was installing multiple ones, haha and I have less strength in my upper arms.Note: THESE ARE A BIT DIFFICULT TO INSTALL WITHOUT USING ANCHORS! I installed one without using the anchors, because I didn't know what I was doing at first. But I figured it out. Also the anchors will prevent holes ripping larger overtime or when installing, depending on your wall, especially drywall. Also I could not install without drilling holes first, using 1/8 drill bit. Luckily I had one.Measure and Mark b4 doing it! Trust me! I didn't on the first one and I have 4 holes instead of 2. I measured with my husbands help with the others and it was much easier and quicker. These install on the wall best, not the window trim. I tried on the trim and it didn't work. And it was not flush either. (See the picture I am putting my finger on the trim )The only issues I have with these rods, are that it was a bit challenging to screw the screws that hold the rod in place on the bracket thing. Which as I further explain below, makes rod move side to side when moving certain kinds of curtains open and closed. These are a bit challenging. And when putting on curtains, depending on the kind, one side of the pole is a bit bigger than the other side, because one side of the pole goes inside the other to adjust the length size, telescope pole. ( See 2nd picture)I bought one curtain, Deconovo brand blackout thermal noise reduction kind from Amazon, that was difficult to put on because I didn't realize one side of the pole was bigger than the other. The length of the curtains were off so I had to put the rod into the first hole of curtains instead of the bigger hole, not easy to open curtains due to this. ( See 2nd picture) This causes pole to move side to side when opening curtains, if you do not have the screws on the bracket to the rod screwed tight enough, which is not easy.My other curtains have grommet's, the rings, they move easily of course with these poles, I got Miulee blackout thermal kind. (See first picture )These rods look nice and if you do the things like I mentioned, and have a helper it will be a breeze to install and use them. Also the picture used for advertising makes them look like the are round at the very ends, but they really are square on the very ends with a circular thing under the square part. ( See 3rd picture)I hope this helps someone. Again they do not come with any instructions at all haha. I'm usually one to just throw curtain rods and curtains up haha, but I learned this can make it harder to install and make them look very off. Haha.Another trick. I had one window that is actually 2 windows right next to each other like a bay window, but has trim down the middle of them. Well I couldn't install brackets on the trim. So luckily I had longer curtains for this one, so I installed the brackets above my window trim to the wall. It makes the window look taller doing this. My other windows in bedroom, the curtains were shorter, so I had to install differently, beside the windows on the wall, see the 2nd picture and then look at the 1st and 4th picture and you will see what I mean. Zoom in on the pictures if it lets you. Oh and the first picture has 3 brackets because it was the longer sized.Again hope this helps!!!

The only issues I have with these rods, are that it was a bit challenging to screw the screws that hold the rod in place on the bracket thing.

( See 2nd picture)
I bought one curtain, Deconovo brand blackout thermal noise reduction kind from Amazon, that was difficult to put on because I didn't realize one side of the pole was bigger than the other. The length of the curtains were off so I had to put the rod into the first hole of curtains instead of the bigger hole, not easy to open curtains due to this. ( See 2nd picture) This causes pole to move side to side when opening curtains, if you do not have the screws on the bracket to the rod screwed tight enough, which is not easy.

My other curtains have grommet's, the rings, they move easily of course with these poles, I got Miulee blackout thermal kind. (See first picture )

These rods look nice and if you do the things like I mentioned, and have a helper it will be a breeze to install and use them.

Also the picture used for advertising makes them look like the are round at the very ends, but they really are square on the very ends with a circular thing under the square part. ( See 3rd picture)

I hope this helps someone. Again they do not come with any instructions at all haha. I'm usually one to just throw curtain rods and curtains up haha, but I learned this can make it harder to install and make them look very off. Haha.

Another trick. Oh and the first picture has 3 brackets because it was the longer sized.

    Again hope this helps!!!

I ordered two of these rods to hang my new valances and curtains. They arrived together in the same box, but the box came damaged and one of the rods had completely snapped in half inside, while the other remained in good condition. I hung the curtains only and requested an exchange for the broken rod (the intact rod looked and functioned great, so I saw no reason to return them both). The seller was very helpful! I didn't have to send back the broken rod and they sent me a new one that arrived a couple days later. I have since installed both rods and they look fantastic with my new window treatment set. The hardware that comes with the rods works great and was easy to install. I've attached a photo with the first rod and just the curtains, and another photo of both rods with the curtains and valances. I recommend this product, good quality and look for the price.

I was impressed with the quality and the appearance. The finish rivals any of the high end Chandeliers when i was in that line of work. As usual though, design limitations are the breakfast crossword puzzles that engineers enjoy but never really finish. The tippy top mounting screw holes are within an 1/4" of the knee portion of the brackets. This is not a major factor if you are using an appropriate screw driver say; A #1 Phillips Head Screw Driver with a 4" shank. They send lots of screws and plastic molly anchors so when you ruin a screw, you do not have to rob the odds and end drawers. Instead you get to add more screws to that prized collection. The rods are more than study enough to carry the 36" span that i needed and the top quality Black Out curtains are indeed well hung. For price, quality and gorgeous looks especially on the finial ends, these are the ones to get. Operative word here is;Value.

Really liked the rod. The hardware or brackets were missing which was disappointing. At first thought it wasn’t included but description said otherwise. Had to purchase brackets cause didn’t want to do the whole return process.

This looks well made and not cheap. I used stick on screws to hold the rods as I did not want holes in my door. I got a similar color and look stick on easily and these hold my curtains amazingly well. Would recommend buying it.
