The bottom compartment is big enough to hold a full sandwich easily, or a half sandwich and some chips. The top container, which is divided, is great for keeping things like fruit and crackers separated, so nothing gets soggy. I don't put anything too liquid-y inside because it is not entirely leak-proof, but it's perfect for the things we pack - cheese, crackers, fruit, sandwiches, cookies, etc. I also love that it has silverware - super convenient.
I also find it really easy to clean. I don't personally put it in the dishwasher (though I believe most, if not all, components are dishwasher safe), but it's very easy to get it clean with just a few swipes of a scrub brush.
Overall, a great lunch box for our needs!
These are great for kid's lunches, adult lunches, portion control meal planning, field trips, etc. Those that complain that it's smaller than they thought, the sizes are clearly listed and they are true to size. Anything larger and you'd either gorge yourself or waste food. We got these (all four colors) for our 9 and 11 year old boys (so they can mix and match the sets) to use for lunches at school; school lunches weren't enough for growing boys and were questionable at best. These are the perfect size to pack seven pinwheel sandwiches (burrito size tortilla rolled and cut) in the lower portion with either some chips, crackers, a box (medium size) yogurt covered raisins, cookie, etc. The upper sections are shorter and have a divide that you can't remove. Perfect for cookies or crackers on one side and apple slices with cubed cheese or fresh fruit on the other. The sauce cups (sold separately) are small. They are for sauces, don't trick yourself into thinking they are for anything but. They are SMALL. We use them for peanut butter for their apple slices, caramel, nutella, salad dressing, etc. The cup (sold separately) has FOUR latches and a sealing ring to keep liquids contained. The elastic band (in the lunch box, sold separately) is a little tricky to get around the cup at times, but with some practice a kid can get it figured out without making a mess. The cup is 12 oz which is the perfect size for a school lunch (milk carton is less than 8oz). There is room in the bag (if you remove the sauce cups) for a bag of chips or something else, that additional area is about the size of the section used for the 12oz cup. The sauce cups are designed to fit into the lower portion of the set with their lids on (that's how short they are). The bag (sold separately) isn't pretty, it's just an insulated bag with netting in the lid to hold something. It isn't anything to rave about and is rather boring (I wish they had some type of print design or something on them because they are REALLY boring). But, it fits everything snugly and securely, and is nicely made. The perfect compliment to this lunch stackable lunch box, or the entire set, is the Bentgo ice packs (sold separately). You can pick them up for cheap. There are four to a pack, pick the color you want (we have the silver and green ones). They are thin and designed to perfectly fit on the bottom of the secured (meaning the two compartments with the elastic band) containers, the band holding it in place on bottom. With the tote, you can place all four ice packs in it if needed for longer chilling. Two is all you need, in my opinion (one on bottom and one in the netted section on the lid).
The only negative is that the silverware can sometimes be a pain in the butt to set in place. They like to pop out if you don't put them in there correctly. Before you use it, wash it for the first time, is look at how the silverware is set (since it is done correctly in the factory), take a picture if you have to, because it'll make it so much easier for you in the future.

Just after a few weeks of using it, I had to go and buy my own. I loved it that much.
Some of my favorite features are:
- It packs compactly in the cupboard. The smaller container fits snugly inside the larger one and the lids all snap together.
- The box is usable even if you only use the larger bottom one. The band fits well enough that the top won't go flying off. I've never attempted to use the smaller divided box by itself, but I would think the band would be a little too loose.
- It microwaves well if you follow the instructions and don't put the lids in the microwave. I haven't noticed any warps from reheating.
- It cleans up well in the dishwasher. I put the top lids on the top rack and the bottoms sometimes go in the lower rack and we haven't noticed any changes between how the lids fit afterwards.
- The utensils are pretty handy! This was a suprise to me. They're made of sturdy plastic and don't bend when you're cutting up something for lunch.
- It fits a good amount of food, plenty for an entire workday. If I'm using both boxes, I like to pack my breakfast in the smaller top box and my lunch in the bottom box. I'm definitely stuffed afterwards.
- The pieces are color coordinated. I like how I know which box has which lid because the logo is colored. Just a cute touch since all the pieces are interchangeable regardless of color.
A few noticeable cons:
- The lids don't snap shut and you MUST use the belly band to hold it all together. To me, this isn't a dealbreaker. An older box I had from a different manufacturer had snaps on the sides which actually broke apart after just a few months of use. There was no easy way of securing it after that. This box holds snugly with the band so I'm not too concerned. Just don't go tipping it all over the place.
- It's not liquid safe. I wouldn't use this for any foods that are liquidy like stews or pastas. The bottom box may be slightly more liquid tight, but I wouldn't risk it.
- The bottom box can be scratched if you use the included knife utensil. Again, not a dealbreaker since no plastic is completely impervious. It had small scratches, not huge gouges after using the knife. I'm just a little more careful now.
Overall, my husband and I both love it. The price is perfect for the quality and I'm thinking of gifting these to some friends and family members looking to start packing lunches for work.
Top reviews from other countries
The size of the bento box was actually bigger than I thought it was. On the top container (the one divided in half) one side fits 9 large cherries, the other half comfortably fits a small container of dressing, and the bottom container fits over 1 1/2 cups of veggies.
The nesting of the top and bottom compartments is very convenient for saving space after eating or for storage.
Only issue I have is that it's not recommended to use a heat dry setting in a dishwasher (though the compartments (sans lids) go on the top rack of the dishwasher.
I will be buying more (in different colours) in the future.
