Love these boots
Love these boots, but they are just over one year old, and worn through only one light winter season and found this year that the seam opened up. I am very disappointed as I found these were my favorite pair of boots! Not only were they warm, but the zip entry made them easy to get on and off. For the price and the brand, I expected that they would last beyond one winter season of light wearing. They were too expensive to be 'disposable footwear."

I love my Uggs but I was looking for a pair of winter boots that were not only warm but also waterproof. These boots seem to fit the bill. A bit pricey but worth it for warmth combined with dry feet on wet snowy/slushy cold days.I normally wear 6 1/2 - 7 in size & after reading many reviews from multiple sites I decided on the 6 1/2. They fit perfect,even with a mid-weight sock. They hit me at mid calf which is the perfect height for me.The zipper is smooth & easy to zip up.They don't look very stylish on-line but in person they are very cute. The silver linings color is a french vanilla color vs. a bright white & the faux fur trim is a pretty contrasting camel color .Trim on the footbed is a cinnamon shade. The leather is soft but you have very good arch & ankle support . Matches all of my winter outerwear perfectly. I really don't care for cold,snowy winters but at least my feet will be warm & dry. Best of all they are super comfy.
Addendum on review,after wearing these boots everyday for the last few weeks due to all the snowfall here in Cape Cod they are the best boots ever.I have worn them to shovel 2 feet of snow as well as wearing them through the slushy,sloppy conditions that follow after a big snow storm.True to the description they are completely waterproof & keep my feet warm & dry. The Silver Lining color has held up also.Despite all the dirty slush on the roads these boots repel stain. They look like I have just taken them out of the box.I am going to but another pair just in case this style in unavailable in the future.Can't say enough good about these boots.So comfy without feeling bulky & the traction on

I wear a size 8 with a slightly wide foot and high arch, and ordered my usual size. I read through the reviews for fit comments before purchasing, and it fits pretty much like the other comments said: my heel slides up and down a bit in the boot, plenty of room in the foot bed and toe box, nice support, and a snug fit around the calf. I can just zip the boot up all the way. I have average to slightly wider ankles and calves, and when I saw the description of the boot didn't give the circumference of the upper shaft, I searched around and found conflicting info- any where from 12" to 14". I estimated my measurement to be around 13", so I took a chance and bought them. Even though the I can just zip them all the way up, and they are very snug at the top, they are not so tight as to be uncomfortable- I wore them while running errands around town and they were very comfortable. There are pros and cons to the fit- you won't get any snow down your boots, but you can't tuck your pants in unless it's a legging. I wore a thin sock since the calf area was so snug, but the foot bed leaves room for you to wear a warm bootie sock if you want. Overall I love the boots, they look great, very good quality, I like the fact that they do zip so they are easy on/easy off, and not so chunky or big that it makes it hard to drive your vehicle. I'm giving them 4 stars because of the tight fit at the cuff, an elastic gusset would be nice to give them just a little more room. ( the buckles do adjust, but adjusting the ankle one doesn't really do anything except loosen it up- I left it the way it came, on the first notch, and the second one I did open up a notch. This adjustment does not affect the fit of the cuff).

Ladies, you can't go wrong with these Merrell Boots or any Merrell boots for that matter. These are my third pair, I also have the Lace up Decora which I purchased last year on Amazon and the Thundra which I had over 10 years. These seem to last forever. Performance wise these are great. Completely waterproof and super warm. Your feet will be very happy in these on cold snowy days. I had no problems with fit, ordered my normal size 6 and they are just fine. Super easy getting in and out due to side zipper. I wear them with my skinny cords or jeans and have no problem. I normally wear a size 8.5 and purchased a 9. I have been in the market for a good pair of all-weather boots for a while. They fit great and even have enough room for thicker socks without being too big.

I have balance issues so I had a few requirements:

1. A good sturdy tread that will hold its own in the snow/ice and not wear off in one season
2. No big, clunky heel
3. Water resistant
4. They need to be comfortable to wear all day in the winter
5. They must be warm
6. They must be cute

In short they needed to be cute and functional! These boots fit all the above and more! I live in VA and have already worn them a few times (yes, mostly to the bus stop but that counts) when it has gotten a bit cold.

The only con that I can think of is that they may be a bit too warm! I know that when I go skiing this winter, they will be just what I need! I love them!! Worth every single penny!

It's the end of winter so I haven't really worn these boots much however in the short time I have owned them, they are great. First they are very comfortable.....good arch support and comfortable foot bed. I have a very narrow foot, so I would say they are a b width. I read a review that said their heel moves around and maybe that would happen to me if I wore them all day but as I said, my foot is narrow. They are very attractive, good quality leather. I will know the warmth factor next winter. I bought these boots to replace a pair of Sorel's that I adored. I think they will be a good replacement. By the way, there is a zipper on the inside of the boots but it's very sturdy. You really can't go wrong with Merrell's! Update: boots are warm and waterproof. Very good traction.

What can I say? Merrell seems to know what it is doing when it comes to boot making.
This is a tough pair of boots, well fitting and good looking all at the same time. I've had several compliments. The boot is designed to accommodate thick socks,(they are Snow Boots after all), so it might feel a little big when you first try it on.
The only negative thing i'd say about it is when you use the stairs. Because it is rather tough, it won't bend, so you have to be doubly careful when going up or down. But this is a minor glitch in an otherwise great pair of boots. I wear it everywhere when walking and they are so comfy and warm. And yes they do have a thin/light thermal lining as well

I've only had these boots for a couple of weeks, but have already put them through a plethora of miserable winter conditions, and they have been FANTASTIC! We spent a full day outside, walking in slushy, wet snow, and my feet stayed dry and warm. That night the temperature dropped and everything froze solid - the next day I wore 2 pairs of woollies for extra warmth, and the grip was great on the ice... still had to be careful, but much less slippery than other winter boots I've owned. And they are so cute, which was a definite must for me - I wore them with a pair of skinny jeans, while shopping, and had a couple of random people tell me they liked my boots!

As other reviewers have mentioned, they run a wee bit small in the length. I usually take an 8, and I ended up keeping a size 9. The 9's are slightly loose, but I have cold feet most of the time, and it's important to have a pocket of air around my feet to help insulate them. I'm also able to get 2 pairs of wool socks comfortably inside, without my feet feeling squished. Thankfully the boots are vertically "thick" through the arch of the foot. My arch, on the top, is high, and many of the other boots I tried were very tight. These ones give plenty of room on the tops of my feet.

The only down point to my pair of boots is that on the left boot, on the inside ankle, the leather buckles in somewhat and rubs a bit. It's not a deal breaker for me as it's not overly bothersome, and I if I reach into the boot while wearing them, I can straighten out the crease, and it fixes the problem for quite a while before it buckles in again.

Overall though, I would definitely recommend these boots - I tried on MANY pairs this winter (including other Merrell's) looking for the perfect boot, and these are, by far, the best of the bunch.
