    I bought these after losing a "small" pair of shears. I don't like lugging around equipment too big in my pockets, so I knew I could make it work with the carabiner. After having them about two months, I can say that they are a steal at $10. Although they are on the larger size, I can slip them into my pocket and let the carabiner clip on the edge. They are out of the way but easily accessible at the same time.

    They are good quality and cut though many materials. The metal clip itself feels wobbly and loose, but it has held up extremely well. And if they break, what is another $10 for another pair? I've seen people pay and lose a lot more for shears.

    I can't say much else, but I highly recommend giving these a try. They are great quality, extremely well priced, and the shipping is fast. I saw mine within the week.

    Update 3/02/17: Nearly had my pair three years and they've been through hell and back on many calls. Still sharp, clip is holding up perfectly, and thanks to the clip, they never disappear too far from my pocket. I'm glad they have taken off as a product and I can't recommend them enough as someone who works in the emergency services field. Solid buy at the price.

    As an Emergency Trauma Technician in a highly regarded and busy E.R. in the Los Angeles area, I depend on my shears to function when needed, and use them regularly throughout my 12hr shifts. Depending on the situation, I can expect to utilize my shears to help cut clothes off of injured/unconscious patients, cut casting/splinting materials, cut gauze/bandages, wrist bands, etc., sometimes all within one shift. Before I found these shears (through a traveling nurse that had them), my other shears would wear out within 2 to 3 months, or, they would fall out pf my scrub pockets when I sat down and would be lost. This is now my second purchase of these shears, and they lasted 9 months with only slightly noticeable dulling of the blade, and the carabiner clip is still as fresh as day one, still adhering/securing to my scrubs without fail. They also hold up to frequent cleanings with a variety of cleaning methods/products (note, the logo does fade/come off with frequent cleaning, but performance remains, so who cares?) Reason for replacing? My first shipment included two shears, of which I gave one to a collegue. The pair I use regularly, after 9 months, just now started to show a little dulling (took two passes at cutting some fine gauze recently, but still cut through a thick jacket and leather belt later in the shift) so I decided to retire them to home use, where they will comfortably live the rest of their usefulness trimming plants, roses, occasional packaging, and paper/material for school projects. Overall, best value for use I've encountered, and they stay attached to you!

    These are really good pair of shears. I'm a retired first responder and I'm updating my trauma IFAK and supplies. These are well built shears and I really like the clip function (not really carabiners). I can just snap it onto something very quickly if I need to get it out of the way but within reach. It seems they were having quality control issues with a batch but they communicated that right away so I could check. No problems with mine. I especially like the non-stick coating they are putting on these; a plus for cleaning. Not sure if you can put these in an autoclave. The serrated edges are very sharp and durable. The function is a little stiff but smooth to operate. It will loosen up in time but I hate some of those cheap builds that are rattle loose or you know that pivot screw will fail at some point. I have put these in with my TQ kits and feel confident I won't have to worry about failures.

    Not just for EMTs!

    I am a rock climber and an Emergency Medicine intern resident at a busy tertiary care center, and I was really tired of tracking down scissors. With the attractive carabiner and even more attractive price, I bought these expecting a "good enough" pair of trauma sheers. But, much to my surprise, these things are amazing! For example: EMS brought in a rollover MVC w an open, comminuted distal tibial fracture. The patient's grossly deformed ankle was bound by a thick leather steel-toed boot, (which was not coming off by hand on account of swelling and deformity). The paramedic looked at me and shrugged, explaining that she had attempted to remove the shoe, but her sheers would not cut through the leather. But these did! Here's the bottom line: you can have your fancy-$chmancy fold-up trauma $heer$, but I'll choose the EMT Shears Trauma Shears with Carabiner any day. They're light weight, comfortable, sturdy, and can cut through the crap so you can do your job without wasting a ton of time or money. And, they have a carabiner.
