My husband recently started riding his bike to work and needed something compact and light to pack his lunch. I bought this base on the reviews, and I am so glad I did. My husband loves the container. It's compact, but pack the perfect lunch portion. It has a separator that you can neatly put in your food. I took the advice of other reviews, and told him not to use the air vent when microwaving to keep the shape of the lids. Instead, he usually put them on loosely while they are in the microwave. We have had that for about 2 months now, and it still looks as good as new. In fact, I bought another one so that I can prep lunch easier for him.

The only minor complaint about this is that the separator isn't a snug fit so that any liquids or sauce would eventually get mix to everything. I just bought silicone molds they make so that should solve the issue. Too bad they don't make similar products in glass. Otherwise, I would use them for my own lunches too (I drive to work so it doesn't matter, plus glass is better than plastic.)

So far, I love my box. I'm glad I went with it, it's almost perfect. Style is aesthetically pleasing, size is perfect for an adult lunch, the feel in your hand is great like you won't drop it. They put a lot of thought into these things and it shows and I appreciate it. The Monbento carry bag allows for some more room for cutlery and maybe a small banana.

DO NOT microwave the box with your intermediary lid on. It's got a great little vent on it, and it says it is microwaveable, BUT I put mine ONE TIME in the microwave for 1.5 minutes and I notice a slight change in fit that once was perfect is now a bit off. Website says the lids are about $4 - but shipping is $25 US? WOW.... ok....... So, I would suggest hand-washing all pieces because heat seems to change the plastic and don't microwave. I don't like microwaving my food anyway so it isn't a problem but if you claim it's microwaveable then you'd think they have the kinks worked out.
I also wanted this set because it has an accessory that you can insert that is bakeable, I love that and I am looking forward to using that piece when it comes in. Hopefully that holds up to the claims! I see this set lasting a while and would recommend this set based on the above conditions.

The box itself seems well made and is aesthetically pleasing as well. That, of course, is part of the appeal of the Bento Box. A meal should be more than packing in the calories. Feed the soul as well as the body!

If you are more concerned about aesthetics, it is a cute bento box, but it does not work as good as it looks! It does not shut properly, leaving room for liquid, or food juices to seep out of the sides. A bento box this price should not have any leakage.

Lots of space in here. Since it comes apart into 2 sealed boxes, I can always find a way to fit it in my bag.
Easy to clean, dishwasher save, only one divider though, so don't lose it. It says it is microwave safe, but I think that it warped the container a little. It takes a little creativity to fit large fruits or sandwiches in here, but the lids hold well, so you can cram a lot in.

Personnellement, j'en ai un depuis plus d'un an et je m'en sers tous les jours pour manger sur mon lieu de travail et je trouve ce Bento très bien... le look est assez soft, il est assez compact donc très pratique, et en plus vous avez toute une série d'articles pour compléter votre Bento : couverts, sac de transport, bouteilles, pots à sauce...
Le seul petit "hic", c'est de bien faire attention de le porter à plat car côté "hermétique", ce n'est pas le top !
