Heavy duty steel all around, and is extremely solid on first impression. Going to mount one in my trailer and one in the bike's "garage" (cargo container). I haven't used it with the bike yet, but have zero doubts it'll work as indicated.
The chocks themselves are sturdy, easy to assemble, and will do the job. Fit and finish are good for a simple, inexpensive welded steel piece. The lateral bar is about 23" wide and gives this chock a nice, wide stance. That said, my bike has a 90/90-21 tire (KLR 650), and my friend's is 100/90-19 (F650GS). With these narrow tires, the bikes do flop to the side - the chock will not hold either bike up by itself, but they will suit my purpose in a trailer where the bikes are going to be strapped down securely anyway - I anticipated this would be the case, and so I am not disappointed. If you are looking for a chock that will hold a narrow tire motorcycle up on its own, look elsewhere. There are four holes for front-back adjustment to the pivoting chock. The farthest back one is too far for my 21" tire, but the next one seems adequate for my tire. My friend's 19" tire is way off the ground on the third hole (counting from the rear) and so we are using the second hole for his bike, also.

You need to drive it in, as you cannot push it into the chock with only your muscles. Getting out is easy on the second hole, and nearly impossible of the first hole. The front wheel is lifted above ground thus some people drill more holes in lower position to get in and out easier but the iron it very thick so I am stuck with what I have got.
I am giving it 5 stars because it is very well made and fits my bike perfectly.
