Customers like the ease of use of the microwave oven. They mention that the design is great and it is very user friendly. The twist knobs are easy to get used to, and the instructions manual is very complete. + instant on with the 30 second button (many brands have this, but still nice)
+ being able to add or remove time by twisting the dial AFTER your start cooking is actually useful
+ the units is really quiet. I think this is part because the fan doesn't move air out of the oven that fast. After cooking something, you can often see quite a lot of steam when you open door
+ the door open and close mechanism is nice, soft touch but reassuring latch (WAY better than the panasonic) and I like not having to push a button but just grab the hand and pull
+ display is a bit to get used to, but I like it.. it dims to an unlit LED after a time (maybe 30 second), so at night you don't get any glow from the panel, but when you use it, the panel lights up and is large and easy to read. When in 'active mode' you don't see the clock, so you can only tell what time it is when the backlight is off
+ seems to do a great job cooking, most things take the same amount of time as the Panasonic did (same wattage). On a totally qualitative note (haven't done any tests), it seems to be about average in terms of even heating. I suspect the Panasonic was slightly better, but that is what they are praised for. The Breville is no worse than any other microwaves I have used over the years, and not a problem at all for reheating or oatmeal or defrosting. I don't cook eggs in a microwave, so it serves my purposes well.
+ it looks nice.
+ Slightly smaller than the Panasonic, and fits our counter space better.
I haven't used the advanced functions yet even though it has been 2 months, but in the end, I mostly use a microwave for 30, 60 or 90, or 120 seconds at a time. I could probably handle 90% of my usage with a single button microwave that just adds multiples of 30s, and this unit makes that button the really easy to use. The rest of the capabilities are just nicely out of the way, but there when you want them. The 'advanced' buttons are all hidden just inside the door resulting in a clean simple look that still has lots of options if you want them.
UPDATED REVIEW - NOVEMBER 2017 - I’ve had this oven for almost 2.5 years now and not a single issue for me - still working like new and I’m still loving it.
UPDATED REVIEW - AUGUST 2016 - I've had this microwave for just over one year now - it is still working like a champ and have had no issues with it whatsoever!!!! Still very happy customer.
UPDATED REVIEW - FEBRUARY 2016 - i've had this microwave since last July 2015 so it's been about eight months now and it has been working flawlessly for me and I still enjoy it very much. The large display is my favorite thing. Seeing the countdown timer easily is great and the fact that it is not illuminated when not in use is not an issue for me. I also really like the fact that while the microwave is operating I can easily adjust our level or add additional time. Quickly without having to stop and restart it. Over the past year I have bought several Breville products including the slow cooker/pressure cooker, a food processor, a coffee maker and toaster and they all have been working flawlessly for me over the last year
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I've had this microwave for about a month now and am very happy with it.
While I haven't tested out all the different features of this product below are the main reasons I like this item compared to my old microwave
1. Very Stylish - the shiny stainless steel outer case looks great on the counter
2. Large LCD - really like having this much larger display as compared to your typical display
3. The Door Handle - never realized how much I dislike those standard push button to open a microwave door - having a handle is much more efficient and looks nicer as well.
4. The dials and the overall interface - this is what really makes this a unique item - I'm so tired of the standard keypad you see on a microwave - having dials to adjust the time and power level give this item a nice look.
5. The larger door window - while the interior window is about the same as my old microwave, from the outside the glass is larger and gives the microwave a nice look overall than the smaller window on my old microwave.
I'm not sure what more I can write about this - it is a microwave after all and I use it mainly to reheat items but it is an attractive addition to my kitchen that I'm enjoying.

Mine just died after only 5 months of occasional use. I was defrosting some ground beef and the display went black and the oven quit.. Then it acted like it rebooted itself and the display came back and the oven started working again. I re-started my defrosting but a few minutes later it did it again, but this time it won't back power on.
Now I have to return it to Berville and wait 10 days for a replacement. Sure they'll pay for the shipping but I'm stuck having to buy packing materials.
--------------
I have this for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. I bought his after the Sharp carousel microwave I purchased died after less then a month. Now I'm kinda glad that it died, because this Breville microwave is so much nicer. The design is awesome and the controls are really intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that this thing has a few rattles that are annoying to listen to. The start button rattles when it runs and the case rattles also. I think the rattles say a lot about the poor build quality of this microwave. Hopefully, a small dab of clear RTV in the right spots will fix the rattles, but I expected better from Breville. I think it's great that the volume of the beeps can be adjusted.
