Paid for itself in one job, with brute Force!

Paid for itself in one job, with brute Force!
I could not get this bumper off with hand wrenches, and I did not want to use a breaker bar as I had just hurt my back. So off the jump I didn't have much faith in this being a cheaper model, boy was I wrong!! I also thought I was gonna have to use my earthquake HF, or air cat on something that was this frozen (stock 97 suburban bumper never touched or removed). I figured why not try full torque? It came out so fast it sparked against the surface, I was expecting a big struggle and a lot of slow movement. Wow thing puts out, hope it holds up although it has already paid for itself.

I was skeptical ordering a impact wrench that was the third of the price as some name brands. I could not be happier. The PowRyte delivered consistent and effective torque all day today during a comprehensive rebuild of the front and rear end of my vehicle. Struts, control arm bolts and stubborn brake brackets were removed easily. Please note that a 3/8 hose must be used for effective functionality. I will purchase more products from this company. Thanks! (Update) I have now purchased a second unit to supplement the first one in the review. What a great deal. These perform better than some name brand $200 units. I am really satisfied!

It appears to be well made and sturdy. It comes with the connector for the air hose. My previous Air Impact Wrenches did not include the connector. It worked great the only time I have used it.
It comes with a brief instruction manual. It tells you that it must be oiled regularly, but it does not tell you how to oil it or what oil to use.
I will only use this 10-12 times a year, so it's too early to predict durability, I am pleased with this wrench after 1 use.

Great impact for the price!! I use this with my 2 stage 80 gallon air compressor and I can remove all 4 wheels and a lot more before my compressor kicks on to refill. Lug nuts are no problem and this is very useful for corroded bolts like wheel bearing mounting bolts. Ive removed these with a 1/2" ratchet and it sucks; it takes forever and my arms are wore out! With a good impact swivel and socket these still take some time but the impact does all the work! Just let it hammer away with the decent torque!

Good impact wrench but the hog ring was way to open and wouldn't release the sockets. Even after collapsing the ring i still had to pry the sockets off. Lots of time lost to messing around with this to try and get it right.

Great impact wrench. The manufacturer recommends a 20+ gallon air compressor, however it is possible to use it with a smaller one with some modifications on how you use it. Make sure your regulator is set to 90 PSI and then PULSE the trigger - don't hold it down. Squeeze the trigger fast and in short bursts, allowing your line to recharge with 90 PSI in between pulses. Using this method I was able to take off lug nuts on my F-350 which were torqued to 150 ft lbs as well as rusty frame and brake caliper bolts that I'm sure would have taken more torque than that. I use it with a  Bostitch BTFP02012 6 Gallon 150 PSI Oil-Free Compressor .

I've tried using this to remove lug nuts, take off brake calipers, and generally bust any nuts that were over tightened on my cars. It's failed almost every time. If the lug nuts were recently installed with the factory 80 ft/lbs of torque, it'll work. But lugs that have been tightened by an overzealous or lazy tech at a tire shop, or anything that's had time to rust a bit is going to need well over 80 ft/lbs to break loose. And this impact wrench will not budge those. I'm using it on a 3/8" hose with high flow fittings (on tank, hose, and tool itself) and a 30 gallon compressor rated at 5.7 cfm, so it's not my setup. This impact is just terrible.

After a year of disappointments, I finally bought myself an Aircat 1150, and it's like a miracle. This weekend I rotated my tires, and did a full brake job (calipers, rotors, and pad) all the way around on my 12 year old Toyota Highlander. Didn't need a breaker bar once.

Needless to say the PowRyte is going in the trash. I'm not even willing to donate it to someone. It'd just be setting them up for disappointment.

Well at first I had a few problems with it, trigger stayed stuck, wouldn’t come out on its own, but with a little luck and lubricant, it finally started working on its own better, trigger is still a little weird feeling but I think with the more I use it then the more it will hopefully improve, now as far as if it is 600 ft/lbs., mine was definitely, I tested it against a IR with 690ft/lbs., took every nut off that I torqued down with the IR, not to mention it broke a 1/2” grade 8 bolt off not only once but twice( it broke it then broke it again further down the threads) when I was bolting two pieces of 3/4” plate together in my test to see if it was up to par or not, I was impressed, very good impact for the money if you get one that works properly, with everything said, it’s a good impact by my standards, so far lol

It's got balls. I use it in a factory setting and it is extremely useful. I was worried due to how much it costs but I have to say I'm glad I made the purchase. This thing is beast and comfortable as well. Really like it. I'm sure you will too. Powryte is actually a pretty awesome company. Hope they excel to do more. Comes with adapter as well. Why not 5 stars? Because I don't trust 5 stars.. but 4 or below I do for the most part.
