I bought this shredder for home office use. Mostly I just wanted something to shred those "pre-approved" credit card notices and financial documents we don't need to keep hard copies of, (bank statements, w-2s, 1099s) basically anything that someone swiping your trash could use to steal your identity with, and I must say for this application, this shredder is PERFECT.
It is truly micro cut, not just cross cut or strip cut, so you get extra high shred security. It is a little louder than I was expecting, but it shreds VERY quickly and it doesn't run for unnecessary time after the document is shredded, so the fact that it is a little louder than some other shredders I have used in the past is more than offset by the fact that the noise is so brief. I have held off buying a shredder for the house because I didn't want to spend $55+ on a paper shredder and my requirements were (a. microcut, b. cheap). This bad boy fits the bill. It is small it gets the job done nicely.
Some people complain about shredders and really these are the people who buy the wrong shredder for their use. If you need to shred a filebox full of paper every day, you'll want to spend more money on a beast of a machine. If you just want to shred the odd bank statement or credit card notice here and there you absolutely cannot go wrong with this little workhorse. It is fast and efficient and an excellent bang for the buck.
I am exceptionally pleased. Will update if it melts or something but I expect I'll have this thing in my office 10 years from now. I have included a picture of it next to a standard two drawer file cabinet for size reference.

This Bonsaii shredder really destroys everything in its path. It makes very small shreds of all types of paper, and even a lot of thinner cardboard, like cereal boxes. Some materials end up almost *powdered*. It is almost *too* thorough, because I don't get as much volume out of the results because it is so completely pulverized.
Pros: Very secure destruction, and very safe; the machine will not run unless it is sitting on top of its bin. Have not seen any jams, and unlike every other shredder I've ever used, it can run at its full stated capacity with regard to the number of sheets input with no problem. I tested it with 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, & 6-sheet stacks, and it does slow down a bit (see video), but doesn't really struggle and never stops unless overheated. The bin has a window to monitor how full it is. The thing is built like a tank; when you turn it over and look at the teeth it's kind of amazing how heavy-duty it looks. It really means business.
Cons: It is quite heavy, due to the "built like a tank" thing, there are very sustantial jaws on this. On top of the rather narrow bin, it seems top-heavy. Unless it is against a wall or furniture, it might be subject to tipping. If the full bin were to ever fall over, you better have a hard floor you can sweep, or a very good vacuum. The shredded results can be quite dusty, because it really does turn things into almost powder for softer materials like newsprint or thin cardboard. When emptying the bin, the paper dust can be a pain, as it sort of sticks everywhere on the plastic bin due to static attraction. You should also shred things as you go, instead of building up a big pile and shredding all at once, since it will overheat rather quickly when used continuously. From a completely cool start, I would estimate about ten minutes of feeding single sheets will fill the bin and cause the red light to blaze due to overheating. It takes probably fifteen minutes to cool, which could then give you about another five minutes of continuous use before stopping again. Give it a good 30 to 40 minutes if you want it to completely cool off.
None of the issues are deal breakers for me, but if you have heavy duty requirements, get something bigger (or get TWO of these?)

This shredder was bought as a gift for a family at home who would only have occasional need for shredding a few papers at a time.
^^^^ The above is kinda important and hence the four star rating for this capable, and yet not robust, shredder.
In operation this shredder is about as noisy as others we have used. What is apparent is that it is not design with high or continued use with close to its rated maximum capacity of paper. However its price did reflect that when we bought this and it matched the intended use that it was put to.
The cross cut pieces are well defined and not strung together, in other words it cuts consistently and their pieces are small enough in the bin as advertised.
We did recommend to our daughter that it is occasionally cleaned, after unplugging the unit they flip the top over to clean out the mechanism from clogging up random pieces of paper.
Now and again they have also used "Swordfish shredder oil" to run through a piece of paper smeared with that lubricant. I reckon that the lube is important as paper tends to have a "powder" or something applied to keep the sheets from sticking to each other. This causes the mechanism in the shredder to become quite dry, it used to be an issue also with printers and the rubber drive rollers would become coated and not be able to grip the paper to pull it through.
With the above intended use in mind and the capability of this type of shredder and its price I do recommend it.
However if you expect or need more industrious and durable shredder then I would consider looking elsewhere as you might well be disappointed with this particular model.
It pays to research and do some reading before buying a shredder, more so if you are wanting to use them regularly, also take the quoted maximum paper handling of most paper shredders with a pinch of salt and you'll be fine.
Hope this review helps.
When it came out of the box it looked rather small and I was concerned that it's capacity might be a little too small.
Not a bit of it. It micro-shreds into much smaller pieces than my old Rexel cross-cut shredder and so it actually has a larger capacity in real use than the Rexel. Smaller pieces, so much more compact and incidentally, more secure,, whereas the Rexel filled the bucket with air and larger pieces.
It's not very quiet, but much less noisy than the Rexel was.
It genuinely will shred 6 sheets at a time, but like all domestic shredders it's not for constant use.
If you run it too long, there is a thermal cut out which stops the cutting until the motor cools down.
Realistically, unless you are shredding an entire office full of stuff, it's more than adequate.
It would probably cut through a staple if you accidentally left one on the paper, but it's not designed for it, so you should be careful.
It won't cut credit cards or CDs either and it won't shred Mail-Lite bags (I ripped some open and pulled off the plastic bubbles before shredding the labels. That works).
I'm very happy with it and having just checked online, it's a Which Best Buy too.
So if you want an inexpensive, compact and effective shredder, for domestic use, I would recommend this one.
I am pleased to report that the C560-D seems perfectly adequate for my purposes, and does what it says on the tin. Easy to set up - take it out the box, put the teeth onto the tub, plug it in and turn it on. Then start feeding your paper.
It is supposed to only be used continuously for 2 minutes before giving it a break, but I assume that recommendation is for when you are trying to do the maximum of six sheets of paper at a time, as I managed to keep shredding non stop for half an hour whilst just feeding one sheet at a time. It didn't automatically shut down during this prolonged use, there were no jams, and a tub full of confetti at the end of it :o) So I think if you are patient and careful, this should work fine for low/moderate use. One file done, about 12 more to do.....
