I am a beginning photographer and intermediate video creator and I was looking for an inexpensive home studio setup. I researched several different packages of lighting, backdrops and stands. The LimoStudio kit was very competitively priced, the right size, had an adequate number of lights, light boxes with removable diffusers and it came with multiple muslin backdrops, including the green screen I really wanted.
I read many of the reviews on Amazon prior to ordering and was cautiously optimistic. When the equipment arrived I was very impressed by the value and quality. I'll admit to being quite puzzled by the negative reviews. All of the stands and lights were well made, worked flawlessly, were easy to assemble and disassemble, and fit nicely in the good quality padded nylon carry cases. The backdrops are medium to heavy weight muslin and as long as you do not expect them to block full daylight in front of a picture window or remain wrinkle free after being jammed in a carry case for days (who would?) they function perfectly.
As to the backdrop stand, when it is set up fully extended 8'8" high by 10 feet wide there is some flex, as one would expect from a portable stand, but I was able to use my 9x12 foot heavy duty painted canvas backdrop which weighs over 8 pounds without any sagging once it was clipped on. I didn't use the muslin clips provided with the LimoStudio kit because I already had a set of 4.5" inch heavy duty Muslin clamps that I prefer to use.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this setup for windy outdoor shoots or if you are a professional road warrior who will need to put it up and take it down multiple times a day, 365 days a year. That being said, it suits my needs very well and for under $150 including shipping, I couldn't be more pleased!

This setup rocks. Very sturdy, very nice lighting.. It really is all you need. You will need to iron the fabric and may I suggest getting additional clamps but other than that its rocking. The middle pole you can use as little as 2 pieces or use em all to get a very very long center.
The travel case is nice and sturdy. Unlike the others I did not get any dust with my fabric. I was worried about the stands and the connectors that tilt the lights but they are insanely sturdy. (i have had mics that would not stay in place before but this does not happen with these).
Its a little lacking on instructions but its not hard to figure things out. I used the black to be behind the green so it made it more solid as its a bit transparent but with the black behind it theres no issues.
TIPS:
You may wonder how to get the reflector lights to stay ouen you simply push down the circle to where it goes around the light socket and clicks into place.
Using 2 Poles on the top gives you enough width for the cloth to be pulled tight via clamps and wrapping the fabric around the poles.
The top poles you look for the wider holes thats what goes on the stands. and the poles slide into each other its a tight fit but you just slide and click the button in.
You'll need extension cords for the lights i suggest one perl light.
