Very Good scale at a Great Price
The VonHaus scale is replacing a Soehnle scale from 2006 that stopped displaying BMI info a few years ago and lately the weight function was changing after a few sequential measurements. I weigh myself in the morning and before bed everyday. So far the VonHaus scale is working Great. I have noticed that the BMI and similar measurements do not change as often as my previous scale though. Also the results are much quicker than the previous scale too. The only item I do not like about the scale is that once you press the Set function to indicate which person you are the first thing it shows besides the P1 is my age of 57 Everytime. Sometimes it is a little jarring twice a day to be reminded of my age. A major plus is the cost of the scale is less than 3x my previous scale and the scale uses standard AA Batts instead of various types of button cells as my previous one. You can't go wrong with this purchase. Happy Weighing

I have been using this scale for almost a month now and it proved to be accurate for me. I had a minor backlight problem with my first scale I received, but like all other products on amazon, customer care took care of it and sent me the replacement.
This is an easy to use, cheaper alternative to more costly scales. It does not have all the fancy bells & whistles that you get with more costly scales. It does not have Bluetooth nor it automatically identifies you when you step on it.
You can set 12 different profiles based on height, age, gender and whether the person is an athlete or not. Once the profiles are set, one can select his/her profile by using up down buttons before stepping on to the scale. It will show your weight, body fat %, bone mass, water %, BMI, daily intake of calories you will need based on your profile. The display is big & stays on for 10-20 seconds. It has a nice backlight which makes the reading easier.
This scale could prove to be a good indicator of how your fitness training, may it be a strength training or weight loss training going.
tip: you will need 2 AAA batteries to make this scale work. These are not included with your purchase.

You will not find a better scale for this price! I'm very impressed with the quality of this scale and all of its features. It's very accurate and I love that you can store info on multiple people in the household so you can track your personal progress. Simple and slim design helps it fit easily in my small bathroom. Lightweight, so if you had to move it each time you used it it would not be a hassle. The only reason I would see not to purchase this scale over another is if you absolutely insist on having a bluetooth scale. This scale does everything those bluetooth/wireless scales do except sync to your smartphone and honestly, for the price of a bluetooth/wireless scale, I do not think the added convenience (though I think it would be very minimal added convenience) of having it sync to your phone is not worth it to me. Just write down or manually enter in an app on your phone, not that difficult! :) Would highly recommend for anyone looking for accuracy and the ability to track weight, BMI and body composition.

I'm so excited to use this scale. I have weighed everyday for a week now and it has been working great ! My 3 favorite things about it is that i can watch my Hydration each day and have been able to see it increase while i've started drinking more water. I love that it weighs to the nearest 10th of a lb. example 150.8 lbs... so when I have been reducing, I can weigh each day and see 150.3 then 150.1 then 149.8 etc. Very motivating for me. Then last of all, I like how it shows me the calories I would need to eat to maintain my weight... so when I get to the maintenance stage of my goal, I'll be able to monitor myself more accurately to not gain my weight back. (I lost 3 lbs this 1st week) One thing I wish I could change, that I don't like is that the screen only stays on for a short 30 sec. and I can't get all the details written down fast enough, and then have to weigh again to get the last details to write on my tracking chart.

I bought this to replace a scale I bought at Harbor Freight Tools. I like the VonHaus much more than the HFT's scale. It's a lot more accurate. I check my weight frequently throughout the day, and the Vonhaus does show the changes based how much I have ate, drank, sweat, etc. The HFT's would give me just one number and stays like that for a long time, even after I have taken care of my "bathroom" business. This scale also tells you your body fat %, water %, muscle %, bone weight, BMI, and daily calorie intake. My BMI number is spot on. As for the other numbers, I'm not so sure. My body fat % should be in the low teens, but the Vonhaus shows the low 20's. I got my body fat % from my doctor, so I'll go with what he told me. There are sites you can go to calculate your body fat % and their numbers are consistent with what my doctor has told me. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

This is one of the worst things (so far)I have ever bought on amazon.
One time it will give me BMI-etc.
One time it will give me Errr.
One time it will give me 221.7
One time it will give me 223.1
One time it will give me only weight.

When it does work, I see that its heart is in the right place.
Looking at the other reviews I see the inconsistency, even in the positive ones. I hope they are able to pawn them all off before the company gets a bad rep. Sometimes it is better to just throw them all in the trash before the bad reviews out-weigh the savings of selling a crap product.

The measurements are consistent, but run about 2 pounds higher than my other scales. Of course, it's just as likely that the other two scales are wrong, but I don't have a means of calibration.

The main issue with this scale is that it cheats in two ways. First, if you made a measurement within a certain time frame (seems like 24 hours), then if you measure again, it will simply repeat the old measurement. This is a bit annoying when I take daily measurements, but it has been less than 24-ish hours since the last measurement—the scale just repeats yesterday's numbers. This seems like a way to save face, since scales may be perceived as imprecise if consecutive weigh-ins give different numbers. Yet, I would rather the scale just give me its best estimate than try to save face.

Second, it does not seem that the bioelectrical impedance analysis does anything at all. The reported percent body fat appears to be perfectly correlated with my body weight, which seems too good to be true. (For instance, why should my body fat percentage go up after a meal and go down after I use the restroom?)

Regardless, it's still a useful scale. The build quality seem solid, and it's visually appealing.
