About this item
- A MUST-HAVE – Whether you’re indoors or outdoors, the right polarizing filter is a must for every photography equipment. No other filter provides such a simple and fast method for breathtaking pictures through reduced reflections on water and smooth non-metallic surfaces. Enjoy richer colors in landscape photography, outlining clouds, skies, and skylines in perfect clarity.
- EASY TO USE CAMERA FILTER - The Käsemann polarization filter can easily be screwed onto the filter thread of most lenses. Thanks to its special design, the adjustment ring can then be rotated on the filter without resistance in order to improve your images in the simplest possible way. You see an immediate result through the camera viewfinder, or on the display. Adjust the effect strength as desired.
- BEST WORKMANSHIP - The High Transmission (HTC) polarization film is set between two precise ground and polished cover glasses. It is particularly neutral in color and of high quality, providing for much sharper and richer images than conventional polarizing filters. The MRC glass has been refined with several wafer-thin layers of coating to ensure high scratch resistance and a dirt- and water-repellent effect due to nanotechnology (lotus effect).
- TOUGH & SOLID MOUNTS - B+W sockets are absolutely accurate, easy to apply, and easy to adjust as polarizing filters thanks to their precision manufacturing. With an extra narrow XS-PRO mount, vignettes can be ruled out in most cases, even at high wide-angle angles. Due to the internal thread, a conventional lens hood can also be fitted so you can take better pictures.
- MADE IN GERMANY - Schneider Kreuznach (B + W) – We’re proudly your precision mechanics specialists for filters, photography, optics and precision, with more than 100 years of German experience. Schneider products have already been used in NASA's Apollo missions. Thanks to our multi-resistant nano coating lens filter, we’re helping photographers everywhere take clearer, crisper images.

Product Description
Optical Excellence for Analog and Digital Photography
If you’re a professional or an amateur photographer and whether you prefer landscape, portrait, animal, real estate, or sports photography - the hardware requirements for photography should not be underestimated!
For instance, Schneider Optics and their wide range of B + W photo filters offer an exceptional lens accessory designed to help you make the most out of each and every shot without breaking the bank.
Using A Polarizing Filter In The Field
B + W polarizing filters ensure that reflections and light reflections can be drastically removed from the photographs that you take. Things like disturbing elements, unwanted reflections on water, glare on a pane of glass, among others, can be easily removed way before post-production. Even absolute professionals with the best post-processing software cannot achieve these results afterwards without filters! However, since every object reflects and scatters light (e.g. blades of grass), it can sometimes happen so quickly that colors become falsified and appear dull and boring.
Especially in landscape photography, the photo filter works to – quite literally – filter out these reflections and ensure that a green meadow or a blue sky looks richer, more colorful, and more natural.

This is an extremely high quality, Brass filter. All version of it are Brass.
Using it for the past few days I have seen Zero issues with image sharpness at all, vignetting or distortion.
Its heavy, Solid and extremely smooth to turn.
However, I have noticed that when using this on a step up ring (52mm lens to 58mm filter) the step up ring makes it slightly harder to turn at specific points.
However, that probably say more about the step up ring than this filter.
The F-Pro version reduces about 1 and 1/3rd stops of light. So you can use this as a 1 stop ND filter too.
Other than that the color is amazing, Polarization is amazing and I am extremely happy I paid premium for this over a $20 filter.

When it comes to counterfeits. I'd like to point something out for those who are worried.
If you look at all the reviews submitted through Amazon concerning B+W Counterfeit filters.
All of them. And I mean all of them going back almost a decade, are Always related to the
XS-PRO (Slim Mount) version. Not the F-Pro version.
If you are looking to avoid counterfeit B+W filters on Amazon get the F-Pro version.
There are no documented cases of counterfeit F-Pro.
B+W also has an authenticity checker on their website.
Google "Schneider Kreuznach authenticity check".
Keep in mind the country you bought the filter from Amazon on for the authenticity check country.
If you purchased from .De Amazon, select Germany.
If you purchased from .co.uk select UK.
If you purchased from Amazon US select US
etc.
You won't regret spending money on a quality filter like this.
Now, regarding a CP filter. I've been shooting behind class or reflective surfaces (like classic cars) much more. I wanted a quality filter for tomorrow's classic car show. As soon as I got this I started shooting with it in bright sunlight and I don't know how I went without every using a CP filter in the past. Maybe that's one of the reasons I never cared for my car pictures in the past. Just like a polarized pair of sunglasses a CP filter ultimately absorbs the reflection. When shooting cars the nice paint on the cars will not all have the same mirror look, you will be able to see the actual color of the paint. While I have not compared Tiffen CP filters to B+W CP filters, I have compared Tiffen UV to B+W and B+W is much better. I didn't want to take any risks and I have no problem paying for a higher quality product. I knocked it down one star for value for money because the price is higher than it needs to be, yet it is the best filter out there so it is what it is. I'm happy.
So, what did this filter do for me? It really helped my daytime outdoor photos "pop" for sure, but it also helped to cut down on my post processing workflow. How did it decrease workflow? It helps out on scenes with a very large dynamic range. I can adjust exposure better and get details in the clouds that I wasn't able to get before. Rotating the filter changes the "intensity" of the effect I get especially in the sky and in reflective surfaces. I get more visible details in the OUTDOOR photos that I take. The details are especially noticed on bright sunny days. This filter will NOT help you inside or on very cloudy days so be aware of that.
I would suggest making sure that you KNOW that you need this filter before you buy. B+W filter are some of the best around and they are about the most expensive around as well. I do consider it an investment but only a worthwhile investment if you will actually use it.

Efectos que brinda son espectaculares , El anillo de ajuste es cómodo y embona muy bien la tapa original de la lente sin zafarse . El estuche es práctico y resistente . Muy buena compra , recomendable !!!!!!!!
A circular polarising filter (CPL) serves several purposes in photography:
Reducing Glare and Reflections: CPL filters are often used to reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and foliage. This can be particularly useful when shooting landscapes, where reflections can obscure details or wash out colors.
Increasing Color Saturation: By reducing glare and reflections, CPL filters can enhance the saturation and vibrancy of colors in a scene. This is especially beneficial when photographing landscapes or scenes with vibrant colors, such as during sunrise or sunset.
Improving Contrast: CPL filters can also improve the overall contrast in an image by darkening skies and increasing the differentiation between clouds and the sky. This can add depth and drama to landscape photographs.
Enhancing Transparency: In some cases, CPL filters can enhance the transparency of certain materials, such as water or glass, allowing you to see through them more clearly. This can be useful when photographing subjects submerged in water or behind glass.
Protecting the Lens: Additionally, CPL filters provide a layer of protection for the camera lens against scratches, dust, and other potential damage. It's easier and cheaper to replace a scratched filter than to repair or replace a lens.
Overall, circular polarizing filters are valuable tools for photographers, allowing them to control reflections, enhance colors, and improve the overall quality of their images, particularly in outdoor and landscape photography.
