I upgraded to these from a very cheap set bought at Walmart and I don't regret it one bit!

These do a wonderful job of being ergonomic as well as handy!

Packaged in two sizes as you can see in my photos, they have a relatively nice travel distance when open and it's extremely easy to "unlock" them by just pressing the ring down on your nearest counter. (You can see in one picture where the ring is when the tongs are in the locked/unlocked position.) My only reservation is that it's not easier to lock them besides pulling the ring. If you have messy hands in the kitchen, it's easy to get that mess on the ring trying to pull it out to lock it.

These tongs also feature little 'indents' on the handles that give you a good small bit of leverage and grip when handling items you're picking up. A small but very helpful detail!

These aren't the highest quality tongs you're going to find, but for the price I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better set!

I have waited a month to review these. I wanted to use them a few times and see how they did in the dish washer.

The tongs are very well priced, shipped quickly, and we're packaged very well....2 tongs for this price made me doubt they would be of good quality. I was wrong. I have used the longer tong 5 times when grilling this month. They were easy to open, strong and I had no fear I would drop any food. The smaller tongs have been used for everything from indoor cooking to getting large dill pickles out of a jar.

This set has done everything I needed with no rust or stickiness after several passes through the dishwasher. Overall I am glad I made this purchase and will recommend these to friends in need of tongs. I am sure a new set will be added for camping quite soon.

I'll check back in a few months with a longevity update!

I've owned these tongs for a couple years now (decided to go through my amazon purchase history and leave reviews for products I love) and they are a kitchen staple for me. They are all metal so no need to worry about temperature on the pan when cooking. The long tongs are also great for deep frying foods. They are easy to use and easy to clean - I simply throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher. Obviously you wouldn't want to use these on non-stick teflon surfaces since they are metal.

After ~2 years of almost daily use, the locking mechanism has gotten a bit rusty - there is some resistance when locking and unlocking, but it is totally still usable. When considering the price point and how often I use these, this is a minor detail I am willing to overlook. Overall I rate these 10/10 and I highly recommend these.
