The JuiceBox's web interface (and app) were easy to get set up, by following the directions... don't pretend you're smarter than the JuiceBox engineers/designers. It is a great way to monitor electricity consumption, amount of charge delivered to the battery pack, and charging history. If your car does not report charge status (or you don't want to pay for OnStar or other telemetry services), then JuiceBox's web services are the next best thing.
My 2017 Chevy Volt charges to 54-56 miles of range (slightly more than the manufacturer's advertised range), in about 4.5 hours. The car's onboard charger is 3.6kW, but JuiceBox reports the load on my home's 240V electrical supply as 3.8kW. I presume that not all of the electricity that goes into the JuiceBox goes into the car battery, but the JuiceBox is far more efficient than using the car's included 120V charger. I can prove it.
By the numbers: The car's 120V charger can be set to draw up to 12 amps from the outlet, which represents 1.44kW, and fully charges the battery in about 13 hours... so a full charge is 1.44kW * 13h = 18.72kWh of electricity used. Repeating the same exercise for the JuiceBox, 3.8kW * 4.5h = 17.1kWh. So if the car's battery pack has a capacity of 18.4kWh, then why does the JuiceBox deliver less than that? Because by design, the car does not permit it's battery pack to go flat-dead. At some threshold, the car decides the battery should not be drained further, and automatically switches on the gas engine instead. So, bottom line: the JuiceBox saves me about 1.6kWh over the manufacturer's 120V charger, each time I charge the car from "empty". Over the course of a month, that adds up to savings on your electric bill.
The JuiceBox may not be much to look at (I mounted mine low, where I could hide it behind a plant), but it is quite effective. My Volt may only support a maximum charge rate of 3.6kW, but newer and future cars will support higher charge rates. Plugged into a 240V outlet, the Juicebox draws 3.8kW, or 15.8A. Since the JuiceBox supports up to 40A, I can easily use this same charger with my next car, that I expect will have a larger battery pack and higher-ampacity charger. That's the direction things are headed, and the JuiceBox is a great way to future-proof toward that.
Sorry for all the nerdy math, but I wanted to share the value of the JuiceBox, beyond just saying "it works faster".
Installation was easy but be aware that you have to install the unit no further than a foot from the wall plug, see picture, the connecting cable is only that long.
Had the charger up and running for only 2 weeks when all three LEDs started blinking and the charger was beeping and stopping to work. After confirming with my electrician that nothing was wrong with the wall plug and connection to the breaker customer service determined that the charger was broken.
I had to deposit another $200 on top of the purchase price to get the return process started. It is now more than 2 weeks and I have not yet received the exchange unit and I cannot charge my car at home.
After initial email exchange with customer service to start the rerurn process customer service refused to answer my mail when I tried to ask how much longer it will take them to ship a new charger. On the phone they could only tell me that shipping is in process but up to now I was not contacted by UPS. I have paid more than $700 in total for a defective charger, I am still waiting for the return and I have no idea how much longer it will take to get a new charger.
I would not recommend to buy this charger, but if you do or if you already purchased it, get another model just in case it will break so that you can at least charge while you are waiting for the return.
Should I ever get the charger back I will update this review and let you know how things are going.

+Easy to install: Installation consists of a bracket you screw to the wall. Cable connector screws to the wall as well. Plug unit into an outlet and you're good to go.
+Quick to setup: I didn't need to do anything but plug into outlet and plug into car to charge. There are settings you can play with on the app if you want but not required. I chose to setup Wifi. This allows me to get status of the charge and or delay the charge from my charger (through the phone app), not through the cars app. The app also allows me to select a maximum charging amperage (up to 40A) so I can charge as slow as possible and reduce possible damage to batteries.
+Quality: I have only had the JuicBox Pro 40 Smart for two (cold) months. The charger is contained in a well made sheet metal enclosure. Im sure it can take the abuse of shovels, skiis, and other equipment that might contact the charger during storage mishaps. The charger cord is heavy duty. The plug holder for the wall seems light and brittle, but it mounted okay and it continues to work in 0 degrees F.
Cons:
Cold Weather: The heavy duty cord is robust, but comes at a price in cold (below 30F) weather. The cord becomes more solid as the temperatures drop. It was 10F this morning and it required deliberate effort to twist the connector from the car to the wall holder.
Phone App: Minor issue - I would also like to see how close my car is to full charge, not just how many miles were added. It's fine if you started charging at empty, but if you have about a 1/2 charge and you start charging it looks like you added 44 miles and your charge stopped before it was full. In reality the car stopped charging because it is full.
Very happy with the charger and would recommend it.
