Great board at a great price!
I was a bit hesitant before purchasing this board, only because I had never heard of Atoll before and didn't know what to expect. My wife and I have been pricing paddle boards and reading reviews for months so when this one showed up in my search at a lower price than a lot of the others, it got my attention. After a few emails to the manufacturer and as much research as I could find online, I decided to pull the trigger. The 2 year warranty, amazing communication and customer service from the manufacturer combined with amazon's return policy helped make the decision a whole lot easier.Shipping was fast and the board showed up on my doorstep in a couple of days. As soon as I opened the box I was immediately convinced I had made the right decision. Packaging is neat an carefully wrapped. Everything described was included in the box. I'll descibe everything in as much detail as I can because I know some people are like me and want to know all the details before they buy something. Hopefully this will help make a few people's purchase decision a little easier. The package contains the board, a carrying bag, a 3 part adjustable paddle, a repair kit, and a pump. The board itself is made from thick pvc material, kind of like a zodiac boat if you know what that is. The deck pad is a thick comfortable foam that seems like it will hold up well. The baord is slightly heavier than other inflatable boards I've felt but I love that because to me, it feels sturdier and better-built. The board came rolled up and includes a nylon strap to hold it together when rolled . It also includes 2 inflatable "donuts" that slip over the 2 smaller fins (which are not removable) to keep them from rubbing holes in the bag or scratching the board. They're a little thing, but a nice touch. There is a large detachable fin that easily slides into the fin box on the bottom of the board. What I like about this one is the thumb screw that attaches the fin is secured to the fin itself so there is no hardware to worry about losing when taking it on and off by the water. Once secured, it feels rock solid and I had no concerns about it falling off.I inflated the board to the recommended 15psi and just as in the photos, it's sturdy enough to lay across 2 chairs and stand on. It does have some flex to it, but you're going to have that with any inflatable board. The pump that it comes with has it's own smaller bag to keep sand off. It has a built in pressure gauge so it's easy to see what pressure you're at as you pump. The hose on the pump attaches to the board with a twist lock mechanism. The valve on the board can be locked open to deflate the board but should be left in the spring-closed position to inflate. It attaches securly to the hose and I didn't hear any air leaking out as I pumped. It's not difficult to operate the pump but as others have said, it can get a little exhausting pumping it up all the way, especially if you take it to the full 15 psi. It gets harder to press as the pressure builds so the last few psi are pretty tough. Again, that can be expected with any inflatable paddle board though. If you don't want the upper body workout, get an electric pump. I didn't find it too terribly difficult. Besides, the convenience of having a board I can take anywhere and keep in the trunk of a car more than makes up for the small cardio and upper body workout I get before I use it.The board handles well on the water. I'm an intermediate paddleboarder. I'm not super fast, but I've been on several boards so I do at least have something to compare to when it comes to stability. My wife has a 12' foot fiberglass board. Although it's not quite as stable as hers, it's also a foot shorter and inflatable. It is however, much more stable than the 10'6" hard board I had been on previously. I was amazed at just how stable the Atoll board feels on the water. I jumped right up without having to "get the feel for it" and never had any trouble balancing. I rocked my feet back and forth to see how far I could get it to tip ton one side before it became unsteady to the point of falling off, and again, I was pleasantly surprised with the result. It's super stable. I did notice if you jump up and down, you can definitely feel the "springiness" that comes from having an inflatable board. However, it didn't effect my experience in any way, even when paddling in light chop.Paddling in the chop was no problem. Although the board is mostly flat, it does have some rocker built into the front so it handles chop and waves quite well. It's pointy nose glides through the water easily and when paddling side by side with my wife, I noticed my board was faster than hers, even though we were taking similar strokes. It also turns on a dime and is extremely manuverable. The paddle that comes with the board is adjustable and breaks apart into 3 pieces, although you really don't need to do that because it fits in the bag just fine when it's in 2 pieces. It's heavier than my wifes carbon fiber paddle, but it's aluminum so that's a given. I love it though. It feels sturdy and well built and the handle is very comfortable. I like that it has marks on the side of the telescoping handle so you can easily set it to your preferred length every time you use it. A simple twist lock releases the tension and allows the telescoping end to go in or out.Everything fits into a convenient backpack carrying bag. The bag has 2 shoulder straps as well as a waist buckle which helps take some of the weight off your shoulders. Sounds like a simple thing but on a long beach walk or hike, that makes a huge difference.I hope I've covered everything that a prospective buyer would like to know before purchasing. I'd be happy to give more details to anyone interested. Overall, I would highly recommend this board. Just make sure you do your research and know about the pros and cons of having an inflatable board. The convenience is great and for what I'll be using it for, is worth whatever minor performance sacrifices there might be when compared with a hard board. I'm extremely pleased with the board itself but I also want to give a shout out to the customer service at Atoll. They may be a smaller company but they're quick to respond with helpful answers and their product support has been off the charts. I have nothing bad to say. Great board at a great price, and from a great company. 5 stars all the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2019
First time owning a paddle board. Tried one a couple times here in Wyoming and decided to pull the trigger. Several of my friends are power boat people but this suits me better. Its like trail running or cycling in that its just you, your little non-motorized vehicle and the elements. Super easy to store and travel with.

There was enough room and stability for me, my daughter and my 2 dogs. I could even lay on my back and take a nap. I went with green. Very subtle especially against lake water. Really cool.

A friend of mine who is one those guys that researches everything and is tight with his money convinced me of this one over the ROC which i was ready to buy (he owns 2 of each, he and his wife have claimed the Atolls and let their teenagers have the ROCs). I was surprised given the price difference and what i was thinking was a commodity item.
His reasons for liking the Atolls more: better tracking (stays straighter), rings in the back to put more webbing, fiberglass paddle and better pump.

Here are my thoughts after taking this board to the lake this weekend where three SUP boards were represented: the extra money was worth it for the Atoll primarily for the reasons my friend mentioned. I tried all the boards and mine was the best at staying strait, the fastest and had the best buoyancy (there was one board that a friend of my was using which his feet would almost be wet while standing on it due to buoyancy and/or banana-ing.) Mine was super ridig which inspired me to let the whole family on it.

The pump and gauge work flawlessly. There are two modes: single and double pump. Use double pump to get mostly inflated then single to boost the psi. Works great.

The other folks were complaining about there paddles. Wouldn't stay at right length, got sand and wouldn't slide. I was also shocked that theirs didn't float.

I should also mention that overall quality was great. I actually use stuff so i am always looking for that sketchy looking seam or under designed breaking point. I felt really confident with the whole package (pump, foot strap, webbing, paddle, bag).
Setup and packing were easy. There are smart things like a waterproof canister for tools/ patches and a compression strap which isn't even really needed given the bag easily fits everything.

I left the lake not looking at SUP's as a commodity items but instead more like my trail shoes or my mountain bike. I would never run in keds or mountain bike on a huffy, why would I waste my money on a cheap SUP.

Get it and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A man's SUP
Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2017
This thing is army green and black, has a picture of a buffalo riding a paddleboard on it, and is big. Men, this is the paddleboard for you. It is like the Humvee of the SUP world. Leave those little turquoise boards for your wife or gf and get this thing. My chest is getting hairier just riding it. I strapped down my loaded RTIC cooler, threw on my dry bag with 50 lb. of gear, my Goldendoodle (best dog ever), mounted my .50 cal, and went on down the river. So far I've taken it to the Keys, the Indian River, and the alligator infested waters of the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Other than an alligator trying to hump it, absolutely flawless. It is made out of the same material they make the U.S. Marine's landing hovercrafts out of, and is roughly the same size. Seriously, this thing is tough and if I were to ever storm a beach it would totally be my means of transport. I'm pretty sure it will support Rosie O'Donnell, so you know this thing is stable. As other reviews said it comes a little roughed up already, but just some slight rub marks on the side probably from some run-ins with u-boats before my purchase. I bought my wife an Isle Peak SUP and it is much more refined. The Peak is lighter, smaller, maybe a little less stable, comes with a leash, and comes with an easier to use bag. It is a great board also.......for a girl! The Atoll is heavy and comes with a dry bag large enough that when your board isn't in it you can store a body. The rings all the way around are great for strapping coolers, chairs, wild boar, and bazookas down for easy access.

The pump is great, but it will give you a heck of a workout. I'm in pretty good shape, and it takes me about 6 minutes and that is really killing it. I did invest in a 12v air pump since I end up having to finish pumping up my wife's too. The paddle is heavier than the Peak's also, but seems pretty well built. No plans to replace it anytime soon.

When my fin was chewed off by a great white off the coast of Key West, I called Atoll and they sent me a new one free of charge. True story (mostly). Great customer service, and I really did appreciate that. So you have a board comes with great customer service, is built similar to a Nimitz Aircraft carrier, and will cause you to instantly grow a beard and be surrounded by supermodels the minute you step on it. Did I mention it has a picture of a freaking buffalo riding a paddleboard on it??

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this board!!!
Reviewed in Canada on July 20, 2020
I did a lot of research to figure out what was the best board for my price point. After many opinionated articles and reviews, this board kept coming up as a top recommend. What stood out for me was the weight limit it could hold on the board and the durability videos I was seeing online. For me I had 4 things I wanted in a SUP: 1) I wanted a board that would be good for me as a beginner 2) a board where my kids could ride with me 3) I didn't want a board that would have leaks by the end of the summer 4) a board I could use on the lake to fish with

I took the plunge and made the purchase which came last week. On first impressions, its package extremely well and the quality of all the parts (board, bag, fin, pump, and paddle) is something that didn't feel cheap. One of my biggest concerns before buying the board is over pumping it and causing leak issues but after getting the board and pump, there is no way that will ever happen. The pump is designed with a gauge to ensure you don't go over the 15psi recommendation (which should be an automatic must for inflatables but doesn't with some companies). The second concern was my height as I'm 6"3' and again was surprised to see an extender built into the paddle. The last big feature I love is all the D-rings on the board. These D-ring give me all the assurance I need to have a perfect setup to fish.

In short, all of my worries about getting the RIGHT SUP were quickly put to rest with this board. Atoll has spent a considerable amount of time thinking through the best design choices for their boards and customers. While the summer isn't over, I feel very confident it won't leak. I'm extremely impressed with the quality and stability of the board and will be considering another one next year for my wife. My ONLY complaint was that these were on back order for 2-3 months (due to Covid-19 I assume) and so I had to wait to make my purchase.
