My husband and I both enjoy cooking/baking and invest in high quality goods for our kitchen. These are our new favorite and they are a steal of a deal for such a high quality item.
Over the years we’ve come to acquire three sets of mixing bowls – (1) a stainless 5 piece set with no lids, (2) a melamine set with three bowls (no lids) and (3) these fabulous bowls.
The stainless set had more bowls than we every really needed to use, took up too much space and were heavy. The lip was sharp and not comfortable on the hand when gripped. They did not have a silicone bottom so would slide/move when whisking whipped cream or salad dressing or simply stirring brownie mix.
The melamine bowls were nice as they were comfortable to hold and had a narrow silicone ring on the bottom to prevent slipping, but when dropped (by mistake of course) they cracked or in one case, shattered. Hence the reason we needed to find a new set of all-purpose mixing bowls.
I cannot say enough good things about these bowls. First, they are beautiful. The exterior matte finish and interior shinny finish is very attractive and I like the dark blue contrast color. I love the measuring marks on the inside of the bowls, which are highly functional while not taking away from the beautiful exterior aesthetic. They are lightweight, while not being too light. The lips of the bowls are rounded and comfortable on the hand when gripped. The silicone bottoms are amazing. No slipping on the counter and I was able to whisk my salad dressing with ease one handed while holding my infant. The lids fit snug and they all nest nicely together conserving space. I love, love, LOVE! You will not be disappointed.
