Finding fish is much easier then ever before

Know well about depth of the water around your boat

For kayak/boat fishing, it is very important to know well about the depth of the water around your boat. It includes a 25ft cord with round sonar transducer and removable transducer float, which enables you to fish from a kayak, off the dock, or on bridge with the fish finder. If you are fishing off your kayak and the cord is too long for you, you can coil the rest of the cord.

Easy to use

Toss the transducer into water and turn on the display unit, it will show you the water depth and approximate fish depth if fish schools passing by.

4. Cut a hole through the ice and place the transducer directly in the water.

KAYAK FISHING

3 different ways to use the fish finder from a kayak/boat:

1. Toss the transducer and float into the water off the boat side.

2. Attach the side-scan adapter to the boat hull, and attach the transducer to the adapter.

3. Attach the transducer to a handle or a transducer mounting Arm, lower the transducer into the water.

SHORE/PIER FISHING

I have a kaboat i fish from in the bays around Panama City. I tried this finder over different areas and was surprised how accurate it was. I had the sensitivity set low so it would only show the larger fish and also did not attach it to the boat but used the float off the side. I was able to slowly move around different spots and get the readings I needed. If you fish from a small boat or kayak around pilings or bridges or just have favorite spots you try this little finder will will save you a lot of time. The depth finder reads out in meters and the screen is divided into ten sections. So if you are in five meters of water and the fish are showing at the fifth section you just divide five meters by ten which is .5 or half a meter per box and you know the fish are located 2 1/2 meters down. If your over 10 meters of water do the same thing and you'll know the fish are at 5 meters below. If you don't understand this then just think of it like this. I'm in 10 meters of water and the fish are halfway down to the bottom. So ill present at about 5 meters. If that still doesn't make sense to you then hiking or archery are fun hobbies too.

Don't do like i did and enthusiastically throw it in a body of water... The cable isn't as long as my brain made it out to be. I threw the whole thing in. Luckily I tried it out in a neighborhood pond first, and not saltwater. I placed it next to a little room dehumidifier for several hours, then rejuvenated some silica gel in the oven on a baking sheet at 175 degrees. I turned the over off, cracked the door and placed the electronic on top of the silica. It did the trick and it works flawlessly.

So how about how it works!
You obviously know its basic. Fish are on drop offs and structure. This shows you those things. On my kayak it has been great. I like that its so simple, because I can fish and not worry so much about whats going on.
I went to a lake that I know had severe drop offs and suspected was very deep in places. I was able to verify.
I also drifted a drop shot worm and caught 2 large mouth that it marked at the bottom. It marked a lot of fish down there and it worked, so on my first trip it was a success.
I affixed a piece of PVC tubing to the crate in the back of my kayak, made a 90 degree elbow and tube goes down into the water. The transducer is screwed into the PVC. I'll try and add a photo if I can think of it when I'm out.
I am VERY happy with this small purchase.

It came with a different brand name than what I had ordered. I guess some Chinese company is cranking these out and they are being sold by a number of other companies under their brands (I've encountered several nearly identical models with different brand names).

I took it out on my motorboat and compared its depth readings with those of my expensive fish fish finder and the readings were ballpark, a matter of a foot or two each way.

It seems to mark things that are not fish as fish. Don't get too excited when you are over a weed bed and see a mass of fish. It's just the weeds registering as fish. Brush and submerged trees allso registers as fish.

But it does what it want it to do. It tells me how deep the water is, so I can see the bottom contours. I got this for my canoe and for ice fishing simply to tell me the depth of the water and it does that quite well. If you are a halfway decent angler, that is all you need to know.

It comes with a really long cable for the transducer which is a bit of an annoyance for me. I guess the idea is that it can be dropped off a bridge, or floated out on a lake or stream for those of us who do not have a boat. It would be nice if it had a 5-6 foot cable and an option to add an extension. As it is I coil all of the extra cable and tie it together with a zip tie, but that gives me a bulky device that takes away from its advantage of size and portability.

However if you want a portable depth finder for your canoe, kayak or for ice fishing it does the job. If you expect it to mark fish you may be disappointed. But for the price it does all I expect it to do.

I purchased the unit for ice fishing to get an idea of the depth. Has worked extremely well and easy to move from hole to hole. Planning on using it this summer with some kayak fishing. Small and compact and works well.

Used it right out of the box with no problems. Indicated depth properly and marked fish. Caught a pike on the first fishing trip.

On ne peut pas l'utiliser en mouvement, mais très utile pour connaitre la profondeur et la présence de poissons lors de la pêche en kayak ou sur la glace.
Pour pas cher, ça fait la job en attendant.
