Fantastic rod. Light, sensitive, and well balanced. I bought the 1 pc 6'6" ML to use as a panfish/walleye rod. It has the perfect action for casting small lures with lighter line. I put it through some heavy use this year and it held up. I will be ordering another one as my other ML is too stiff for my liking. I highly recommend this rod.

Wouldn't own one again. Rod broke on four different fishing trips. Each time fighting a large fish and on one instance trying to retrieve from a snag. Company replaced each time, but to break once again. Last time I just threw it away. SCREW IT!

Should have listened to the reviews. Broke the rod a foot from the reel jigging walleye with 8 lb line. Hope the warranty is better than the product

I own the EA56UL-MS-2 model. I'm going on my 2nd year of flawless performance with this rod. This is the best trout rod I've ever used. This rod is not only feather light but its sensitivity is unparalleled. With the proper line, you'll feel every rock, stick, and obstruction in the water. I notice even the smallest nibble from the shyest trout. Don't be deceived by the fact that this is an Ultra light rod, it has more than enough "spine" to fight very large fish. The value to quality ratio is extremely high with this rod. I like the 2 piece rod construction for travel. The cork handle is very nice. No issues with wrist and hand fatigue from being on the water all day. I coupled my Eagle with a Shimano Sedona 500D. This combo is incredibly light. I'm hoping to buy the 7 foot version of this rod in the near future for easier casting in larger rivers. I can't say enough how fantastic a value this particular rod is. I'm switching all of my rods to Fenwick's. The factory 5 year warranty doesn't hurt either.

I'd decided on a Fenwick HMX in 7' but they only had 6' 6" models at my local sporting goods store. They did however have several Eagles in 7'. Since I was going fishing the next day, I decided to buy the Eagle. It was around $10 less and I liked the Eagle handle much better than the HMX. I caught over thirty trout and a dozen bass on my first outing with it. I paired it with a Shimano Stradic 2500 reel, spooled with a lighter braid and a fluorocarbon leader. Best outfit I've ever had and it casts a mile!
