I purchased this off amazon.

If you know mini splits than house likely know to look no further than Daikin. Mitsubishi are really good too but morw pricey and Daikin tend to be a little more efficent. Mitsubishi is a pretty darn close second but costs way more.

It is worth notin that these should only be installed by a licensed HVAC guy. They will likely not warranty them if it's purchased online but 1. Amazon saves you money and 2. If you buy a quality unit it should be fine. (Daikin has some warranties of their own)

This seller did not include the copper lines so that's one thing to be aware of. I also had my electrical guy put in a service disconnect with a whip to power it and a massive ground bar. Shipped pretty darn quickly from HVAC Solutions.

I own a hotel in Puerto Rico. I installed 14 of this Daikin air conditioners six years ago and 8 Fujitzus. At this time I only own two Daikins, the other 12 where replaced by Fujitzus. There customer service and parts dept suck. In one ocasion I had to wait five months for a sensor and when it arrived it was very expensive ($175). Now I need a conderser board, they dont have it in stock, and the price $400 plus 11.5 taxes. This is the reason why I got rid of them. Dont waste your money.

Dealer installed two systems about 4 years ago. After two years BOTH units failed within months of each other. I paid extra to have a 10 yr parts & labor warranty only to learn that I would be charged $300 for “freight” for new coils for each unit (according to the dealer freight is covered by the warranty). Now less than 2 years after replacing the coils I have another “low refrigerant” error code on one of the units and expect the second to fail AGAIN also. Clearly a serious design or production issue with a warranty that protects Daikin from bearing the full costs of their failures.

I purchased two Daikin ductless units. When the cards went bad, replacement costs $3200+, Daikin refused to replace them or even sit down and discuss the reasons they might have failed, I replaced the unit with another makers unit. If you want a company who will not sit down and talk to you when the unit fails buy a Daikin, they will be glad to ignore your complaints.
