I bought these boots specifically for a hike on a glacier in Iceland, so I was looking for a comfortable, sturdy, WATERPROOF boot (the waterproof part being the most essential). I am happy to report that not only are these boots comfortable and sturdy, they are also VERY waterproof. I normally wear a size 8 shoe, so I bought a size 8 boot and they were the perfect size for my feet! I wore a thin pair of socks under a thick pair of socks with them, and they were snug enough to not slide around while remaining roomy enough that my toes were not squished. They also did not give me any blisters (I was worried about this since I didn't break them in at all before the trip).We were in Iceland for a total of 5 days, and I wore these boots everywhere: walking around the city, climbing slippery stairs next to a waterfall, tramping through a literal mudpit of a trail to reach another waterfall, splashing through puddles, and yes, walking across a glacier. My boots got so muddy from the mudpit that I had to dunk both of my feet into a freezing cold river just to wash them off - and throughout it all, not a single drop of water got in the boots! My socks remained completely dry and I didn't need the extras that I'd brought along "just in case".I am so pleased with these boots, I would definitely recommend them for anyone worried about wet feet wherever you are hiking. Can't wait to try them out hiking in completely different conditions this summer!

At first I didn't care for either color choices, but as Amazon does; they came down dramatically on the price for a short period on the Dark Earth/Plum in my size and I couldn't resist giving them a try. We've bought a lot of Keen shoes, slippers and boots over the years and have been very satisfied with all of them and Keen has a stellar warranty if anything does go wrong with them. When they arrived I tried them on and the fit was perfect! My feet feel as though they have been swaddled in a warm blanket by a loving mother when I put them on. I bought these, not to hike through deep snow, but to get me around in slush, ice and a bit of snow when I'm out running my errands. My feet have remained dry and warm without being too warm while wearing these. The tread is just right for keeping me well balanced when walking in the icy ruts you find in parking lots when the weather is cold. I wouldn't hike/walk in deep snow while wearing these because they are a lower cut boot, but I highly recommend them if you're needing a good winter boot that will keep you warm, dry and will provide great traction and support. The color has grown on me and I'm thinking on buying the grey ones next!

My wife bought it last winter and it appeared that this boot has so strong smell from those cheap Chinese glue and synthetic upper that you can not wear it. It smells like a sweat but my wife never got this smell with any other boots. I do not recommend this boots- they does not cost there price.
