This ThermoPro TP20 Wireless Remote Digital Thermometer works really great. I recently got a large smoker and can cook several things at once. This thermometer has dual probes which is handy. I can either monitor the internal temperatures of two meats (such as a turkey and a ham), I am smoking or put one in a meat and one just inside the smoker to monitor the internal temperature. I like that you can set each probe to a specific meat and it has preset temperatures used by the USDA. For meats such as Beef you can choose settings such as rare, medium, well done, etc. You can also program your own temperature settings as well. There is even a setting for oven to monitor your grill, oven or smoker. There is also a beeping alarm that sounds when your meat has reached its internal temperature that indicates it is done. The oven setting can be set to go off when your internal temperature gets too high or too low. The probes seem to have a have braid cord and sturdy probe tips. The gloves are great too, I have used them in my smoker to move food that is done or adjust metal items inside the hot smoker and never even felt warm. The best part is the wireless receiver that allows you to monitor all of your stuff from up to 350' away. The receiver has a belt clip so it can hang on you or can pop it out as a kickstand to sit on a table. Really handy when you want to monitor you grill or smoker but you want to sit on the couch and watch the game. It also has a timer that is handy to use to set to remind you to check your food, or add more wood, add more water, or to turn food, The receiver also has a backlight to use in the dark to see the temps.
The thermometer was ready to use right out of the box and simple to figure out. The only thing that wasn't clearly marked is on the main unit which port is for probe 1 and which is for probe 2, but that just took a quick test. On my first trial run using this thermometer I smoked a turkey, a ham, a pork loin, and a whole chicken. It was handy to help me monitor the varying types of food I was cooking. The readings were fast and seemed accurate. You just have to ensure that you get the probe into the center of the meat so that you make sure it is completely done.
The second time I went to use it one of my probes would not work correctly. I messed with it trying various things but it would only register "HHH" on the screen. I emailed the company (at noon on Thanksgiving day) and they replied (four hours later on Thanksgiving!) and sent me a replacement probe immediately (which I received the following Monday). So great customer service there.
Attached are the only couple of photos I have. In the first you can see the probes inserted in the turkey and one in the chicken. In the second picture (not the greatest) you can see the main unit sitting on the ledge and the wires running inside. Just below that you can see the orange gloves I was using. Can't wait to use it all again. My brother-in-law who got me into smoking was envious of the thermometer. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good versatile thermometer with nice features.

That being said, it is an amazing unit, and it is very durable as well because I've dropped it a couple of times and it did not even shut off, it simply continued working. The probe winders are fantastic and do a perfect job of keeping the probe wires from tangling and kinking. Every thermometer should come with these. Now that I have them, I would pay to replace one if it ever got lost.
As usual with Thermopro, the unit came with batteries and was nicely packaged. It wasn't overpackaged for shipping either, just enough to keep it from being damaged. I am extremely pleased with this unit and now the only thing I need to do is get a proper case for it, I still keep it in the box it came in, which is fine for now, but it deserves a decent case.
Anyhow, this is a great wireless thermometer and I recommend it highly. Even if you only need a single probe unit, trust me, you will find a use for the second probe very quickly, I know I did. If you ever see it on special for a great price, get one. Better yet, get one for a friend while you are at it. I know that I am keeping my eyes open and will grab another one if I see it for the price I paid! :)
