I have been looking for quite some time for a foot spa because I have a broken toe and a messed up ankle and have been wearing a boot for a while to walk. The boot was doctors orders and you can see my boot in one of the photos. I wanted a foot spa that heats up and could take Epsom Salt and was well built.
I spent days looking at all of the reviews online and so many had bad reviews and I almost gave up.
The one that had been at the top of many lists was the Ivation but I still wasn't sure.
But it had the least amount of negative reviews, so I decided to try it.
Plus, I love Amazon's return policy so I knew I would be safe!
I got the machine today, two days early from Amazon which was super cool and so here goes.
1. It is much more impressive looking than in the photos. I thought it would be kind of cheap but it is not at all! Super happy about this as so many looked like cheap Chinese junk as so many reviews said so many of these machines were garbage and broke. This thing is very well made..which was not expected.
2. There is plenty of space inside which I love! I wear size 9 shoes and I can move my feet up to the top and down to the bottom which is great to have the rollers hit different spots on your feet.
3. Speaking of rollers, there are only two..one on each side and I was hoping for something that was decent and did not bother me like so many reviewers said about their rollers. Each one feels pretty nice on each foot and might have been nice to have two on each side instead of one... would have liked that but they work great and feel good and do not bother me whatsoever! a nice bonus and super happy about this.
4. Maybe the biggest reason I bought one of these was the heater. Many of them reviewed online said the heat was either non existent or for some reason...went way too hot!! I was really concerned with this was this was huge for me. I had also seen people showing their thermometers in the water and it was totally different than what the temp was on the machine.
Happy to say that this thing heats up beautifully! I started with pretty warm water....but then set it to 107 to 108...and it heated up fast and worked so nicely! As you can see in the photo..it is typically within 2 degrees of what you set it at...and this was better than any of the reviews I had read about any machine.
This was my most important need and happy to say it is awesome!
5. The bubbles are a nice touch but as with every other machine I read bout..nothing special. Yes I would have loved more of a jacuzzi feeling...but it seemed after looking for days for the right one..... that this was the one thing I would have to compromise on. So,,better than no bubbles!
Good and steady heat and being well built was the most important.
So....happy to say that I am keeping this thing for sure. Now, I have only used it for less than a few hours...so no idea if it will break like so many reviewers have said about so many different machines...but it is solid....pretty nice looking ......works as well as I could have hoped for..and I am using Epson Salts in it.
I am one happy camper!!!

There are so many PROs for this machine:
- The water heats up well (78 degrees - 108 degrees in about 15 min).
- The rollers work automatically
- The bubbles come from under your feet so (unlike some machines where they come from the front of the machine) you get the full benefit
- I have big feet and the opening is nice and wide (unlike the Giantex machine)
- There is a sturdy handle to carry it with so that you can move it around when it's full
- The sides, although not calf height, are high enough so that you aren't splashing water on the floor when you move your feet
(I can use this one in my living room !)
- It has little suction feet so that it won't slip and spill
- The bowl is comfortable. I use it on my couch and don't have to be sitting really upright to enjoy.
But what I like the best is the controls.
- They are very easy to use and understand
- You can see and control the water temp (in Fahrenheit) so can turn it both up or down and still use the bubbles
- You can turn on and off the massage rollers
- You can turn on and off the Bubbles and Red light (though I don't know why you'd want to turn either off !)
The only CONs I can think of are:
- It doesn't have wheels. I have tried ones with wheels but they just seem to sit uncomfortably high when you have your feet in them and many with wheels don't sit flat if you take the wheels off.
- It is a little pricier then other machines.
I can't think of anything else that you could possibly desire in a foot spa. I can't say enough good things about this one compared to the others I've tried. It does cost a little more but you get what you pay for. As for longevity, I've only had it a short time so I don't know if the heater will give up the ghost or something but there is no drain plug to start leaking.
The heater works very well. It maintains a steady temp, and not sitting there with your feet in a plastic dishpan while the water cools off, (our previous method), is the "luxury" part we most like.
We put eucalyptus Epsom salts in every use, and that has worked fine.
The "pedicure" attachments are just some plastic knobs that snap in and I guess you can rub your feet on them. Pointless. Our pedicure attachments are rolling around under the bathroom sink, I think.
The bubbles are mild, not Jacuzzi spa power, but feel nice, mix the salts, and circulate the water to keep the temp uniform. So that's nice.
The roller massager thing actually works. I figured if you put your heavy feet on it it would stop turning or jam or the gears would strip, but it's strong and tough. The bumps on the roller feel good, and the massage can be hard or soft depending on how heavily you press down on the roller with your feet.
The reheated water comes out in the middle, near your heels. It won't burn, but it can be uncomfortably hot if you leave your heel by the hot water inlet for any length of time.
Controls are easy to read, and worked fine. Cord is extra long and so easy to plug in or keep out of the way. Handle is sturdy. I fill the unit with hot water and then carry it like a pail of water to where I want it. The handle doesn't feel flimsy when I do this.
So, a good and sort of fun purchase, with no complaints.
Top reviews from other countries
Pros:
Heat and temp control work well. Keeps water hot. Goes up to 119°F.
Handle is great for carrying, filling and emptying.
Easy to operate.
Can use each function alone or all together.
Cons:
Cord is much too short! Be prepared to set a chair beside your plug in the wall or get a power bar.
Bubbles are not strong enough. Can barely feel them.
The bath is not very large. I have size 10 feet and they were very cramped in this foot bath. Was hard to move my feet over the massage rollers.
Slightly hurts the back of your legs where they rest on the top edge of the foot bath unless you’re sitting straight up.
I will keep it and use it till it breaks and then look for a better one.
