I watched a friend of mine use one these and I found it here and bought it and before continuing I would like to say, I'm very particular on quality on everything I purchase and I can truthfully say that this review is my honest opinion on this item. I'm so happy I found this as I already had dinner planned for the day it arrived Chicken Fried Steak, oh yes I live in the north and really missed those Texas dinners and this meat tenderizer now allows me to have them. As seen in the pictures you can take a tough cut of meat and turn it into a melt in your mouth steak in just seconds, NO more hammering and smashing your meat as this has 48 SHARP little knives that do the work for you, you just have to put the meat on a cutting board and start stamping it and tenderize it to your thickness. This meat tenderizer is very rigid and will hold up to years of use, very easy to clean and comes with a safety storage cover to keep it clean. This is a most have in any kitchen and a great gift to family and friends. I highly recommend this and if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you for reading my review.

This device works easily, quickly, and effectively. It does change the texture somewhat, but the trick is to not over tenderize. I made this mistake with some old frozen tough chuck. I pierced in all directions repeatedly; across, 90 degrees, a 45 degree angle going this way and that way and repeatedly; it stayed together, but it was more tender than meatloaf...not good. Twice over on each side and then twice again at a 90 degree angle is about right for typical chuck. Perhaps an extra pass if especially tough.

Great for crock pot dishes with chicken breast...once over each side and once again at 90 degrees and the breast is moist; the gravy/juice penetrates...mmmm.

This is one of those kitchen aids that is not just a gadget. If you love the flavor of chuck (or any tough meat) but want to avoid chemical tenderizers, get the jaccard instead: it does a MUCH better job without chemicals. And if you like to use a lot of seasoning, piercing the meat gets the seasoning from atop the meat and into the meat. Great invention. Well worth the price. Built well.

This tenderize works as advertised and beats having to stab a steak 20 or 30 times. This certainly makes it easy and meat ends up nice and tender. So, why did I give this only 3 stars? I agree with other posts regarding not being able to adequately clean it after use. Because of the design it allows for bits of meat and blood from meat to harbor inside the tenderizer.... not that there have been any complaints about customers getting sick. But there's always that one time. So in my opinion this is an engineering flaw that could or should be addressed. I have no problem taking the extra 5 minutes to thoroughly clean it. I thought this was worth mentioning.
I'm changing my review and adding an additional star. I made seared chicken breasts with wine sauce with this tenderizer. My wife asked me what I did differently. I asked why she asked. She said the chicken was so moist and tender. She loved it. So, this little gadget is worth the money. I'm happy.

 I have used this on pork steaks and New York strip steaks. They were both super tender. As cheap as it is you really can't lose because it does work very well in making your meat tender. The video you're seeing was a London broil. I sprinkled it with meat tenderizer and made several passes over it with the tenderizing knives. I changed directions on each pass and did both sides

I have only used this once so far but I am thoroughly impressed. The tenderizer is super easy to use, it takes less than a minute to push it down on top of the meat. I cleaned it immediately afterwards so had no issues. We had recently ordered some steaks in bulk and after using the new tenderizer the meat was much softer and tasted a whole lot better. I will continue to use this and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

This meat tenderizer is just what we were looking for. It's large enough that my husband could use it comfortably but I was also able to use it without issue. The blades are sharp and penetrate the meat well. It comes with a protective case that fits over the blade end but we also keep ours in the box it came in.

The blades are close together so I worried about issues with cleaning it. So far, though, that hasn't been a problem. We rinse the blades well immediately after use to avoid getting dried meat stuck in between the blades. Then air dry to avoid rusting. I don't anticipate us needing another one for a while but we will definitely purchase this exact same product when necessary.

I like the tool on principle. Blades twang and feels robust enough to cut through the meat, but not 1/4 frozen. There is the reality of washing it. The hollow handle will fill with water and am not sure if it will completely dry quickly. If not, mold will begin in it. I like to try drilling some holes so it can drain quickly but not sure if anything will become damaged. The inside spring also squeaks a bit. The springs may be steel which rusts. I don't know if in time I'm going to get rust water out of it or springs will corrode and break, esp as I will keep washing this in a dishwasher.
edit: The handle comes apart. There are 3 screws on the handle. All the steel parts except the blades (reported stainess) at least look like galvanized steel or dull stainless. Decided not to drill any holes. It will make the water go in faster. If I come across plugs, I think drilling some holes will improve this tool.
Washed first time in a dishwasher. Removed the handle half and inside are little drops of water and signs of moisture. Esp between the blades. This will take a long time to dry out and if used and washed often, will grow mold. Returning.
