Just attach the phone (mine is an IPhone 6), attach the provided cable to the phone's ear plug and extend the arm. That's it. We took some amazing photos on our vacation. Okay, so usually I would not make the effort to write a review about an umbrella. But this umbrella is amazing! I never knew umbrellas could be amazing, but this one is. It is so lightweight and compact. It opens all the way with a single push of the bottom AND even closes with a push of the button. It is great when your hands are full and you need protection. Very compact umbrella. It deploys automatically in a very slick way. When stowing, make sure to read the instructions. After pressing the button, you have to push from the very TOP of the umbrella, NOT pull from the inside of it like a normal umbrella. I guarantee you most of the people who broke their umbrella did it the wrong way that I described. I literally can't wait until it rains, this thing is fun to use, lol.
