I finally realized my poor arthritic dog would need some help at times with her back legs. We do acupuncture once a week,have a drug and herb list she takes,and I have a doggy stroller in case she gets tired on her walks. I guess you could say I'll do anything to help my doggy have some quality of life. She will be 15 in Jan. She's my best friend and has been through everything with me. I ordered this product and was very happy with the way it was made. I was very impressed with the insert that was in the package. It seems that this company truly cares about how their product performs. They want you to call them if you have any issue at all with their product. They are a family run business here in the USA which is something I truly support! I would urge anyone that thinks their dog would benefit from using a harness to get one from this company! The second one we are saving for our three medium to large size pups, it fitted them well. Our GSD is a very tall and long GSD, weight on the low-normal to norma range. This is very well-made. But it's slippery and doesn't stay put. It slides all over the place and really isn't helpful. The handles are sturdy, but there's no way to keep this sling on your dog without it slip-sliding all over the place and feet and legs getting tangled in the handles. I need something that can stay on my dog while traveling to the vet or the park. This wasn't it.

There is two reasons why I wouldn't recommend this product. #1 It doesn't work for my GSD , Its slides down to his penis area and it hurts him when trying to lift him.
#2 and the MAIN reason is that You can not return it for a refund. so now I am stuck with something that doesnt even work for my dog. I purchase this so I could help my dog down the stairs following his ACL surgery, but it doesnt work for him. It says Vet approved... Whose Vet?? When my Vet saw this item, he immediately knew it wasn't going to work for my dog. I tried it on my dog and the Vet was right..

Our 4 yr old German Shepherd had to have TPLO surgery which is replacing the knee on both back legs. This has been a huge help with assisting him to get up the few stairs and walking outside so he doesn’t fall or put too much stress on the rear legs. The handles are adjustable, this is washable and very sturdy. Roscoe is a boy so it’s hard to tell when he is about to urinate so it got wet occasionally. You do need to be careful not to pull up too hard hurting them. This is for assisting them and so they do not fall.
For the first month we had to keep him from walking and only could go out for eliminating. We are on week 5 and we can take him for 3 5 min walks per day in addition to the bathroom breaks for the next 3 weeks and progress from there. It has held up well for us even through washing.
