Product Description
Available in 3 Models
Our StratoLauncher IV, water rocket launcher is available in 3 models: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. All of them perform the same and can be upgraded to add additional features and all come with a 125 PSI safety valve to prevent exploding bottles while pressurizing.
- Standard - plastic quick connector, no pressure gauge, does not tilt
- Deluxe - metal quick connector, air pressure gauge, tilting ball head
- Ultimate - same as Deluxe plus Q-connect water fill system made of 4 parts to connect a tank sprayer
Our complete launcher kits will enable you to propel a 2-liter plastic (PET*) soda pop bottle over 350 ft. into the sky using only water and compressed air from a bicycle pump or an air compressor.
View the 3 videos for this listing that cover benefits, assembly, and launch procedure.
Nozzle Efficiency
Requires only 200 ml or less of water to launch a 2-liter soda bottle from the StratoLauncher IV. This means carrying less water onto the field. Also, it functions very well with Air Only. More water can be used, but that will require a rail system or a narrow diameter rocket like an FTC (fluorescent tube cover) rocket.
Nozzle Versatility
Supports 5 different soda bottle sizes (0.5L, 1L 1.25L, 1.5L and 2L) @ air pressures as low as 15 PSI up to 120 PSI. Plus, launch homemade rockets, spliced versions, FTC rockets, gliders, and rocket cars. Although our StratoFins yield the best results, the StratoLauncher IV was designed to enable students and family members to create their own fin and rocket designs that will work merely by screwing on the black nozzle.
Expandable
Connect several StratoLauncher IV units together for large classes or STEM events. Fuel with a single water source (tank sprayer or garden hose) and pressurize with a single air source (bicycle pump, air compressor, or scuba tank) to get through a large field of participants in a short and safe period of time.
Upgradeable
Several upgrades are available to enhance your StratoLauncher IV water rocket launcher.
- Deluxe Upgrade
- Ultimate Upgrade
- 10 ft. Hose Extension
- 10 ft. Compressor Connect
- 48 in. Rail System

On building: at first building the launcher seemed a bit daunting, but it really wasn’t that hard. It definitely needs adult supervision, though I think older kids could build it on their own. Watching the YouTube video is super helpful. It doesn’t come with instructions but rather you can scan the QR code on the box and it takes you to a site that lets you download the instructions and there’s a link on the instructions to YouTube video.
On launching: I think the youngest age that can launch on their own is about 7. The launch is sooooo much fun. We launched it for hours with the neighbor kids and each time was so great. They recommend launching in a big open field which is definitely best but we launched in front of the house and it was fine. I definitely recommend this for young kids to help develop their minds and get them to understand a little bit of science. I would buy it again.

Attention aux journées venteuses! La fusée va vraiment très haut et si vous utilisez le parachute, elle peut facilement se retrouver à plus de 500 m de sa rampe de lancement et atterrir sur un toit de maison ou dans un arbre.
