These actually worked for my son, who is red-green colorblind.

I was very, very skeptical that these type glasses were just a scam of some kind. After seeing the news story on Foxnews.com on November 20, 2018, I decided to order my son a pair and try them. I ordered them and had them shipped next day. My son is 14 and has been colorblind (red-green) his whole life. When he first tried them on, he didn't make much fan fare about them. BUT, I did notice he didn't take them off. We went out to eat about 20 minutes after him first putting them on and as we traveled he would call out the colors of things and talk about the different colors he could now see. We asked him to tell the colors of many, many things and he got them correct. The biggest thing he noticed was a Burger King sign and he said he always thought the words "Burger King" on the sign were brown, to match the color of the beef patty. With his new glasses, he said "they are red?"...I've been lied to my whole life and we all laughed.

These may not work for everyone, but they do work for my son. We let him do the color blind test online (before I ordered them ) and he failed it badly and said he was strong Deuteranopia. Then we let him do the test again when we got the glasses in and he didn't miss a single one...scored perfect normal vision.

The one CON I can think of on these glasses: Although in the photos on all the listings I have seen online, these glasses look to be near clear or transparent, they are not. These look like mirrored sunglasses, which are OK for most everyday use, but these are not something a person could probably feel comfortable wearing to school or work. I know there are some models that are near transparent and I wished these TP-012's were...so they could be worn comfortably indoors as well (without looking like you are wearing sunglasses indoors). Just be aware before ordering this model that they are the mirrored type lenses.

I am 100% happy with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone that is red-green colorblind.

I am a moderate deutan red/green colorblind person. Bought these in hopes that it would help me distinguish colors working in the electrical field and also to bring more colors to my life. I was very excited to see colors as I had never seen them before and bought into the great marketing this company portays. Sadly from what I can tell, these are essentially red tinted sunglasses. Yes, reds appear more red, but everything else also looks red. Everything has a red tint when wearing these glasses, even the sky looks incorrect. They don't work well at all indoors or in low light or in unnatural light. Wire colors under natural light are even harder to distinguish while wearing these because everything has a red tint. On top of that they are literally the cheapest glasses I've ever owned. They are bendy and fragile feeling to the point where I feel that a harsh glance would cause them to crumble. Such a disappointment for the price. I feel that this is a scam for your money.
You might as well just buy a $5 pair of red tinted sunglasses as they would work just as well and probably be better made. Would not recommend for any reason whatsoever.

Colorblind glasses really worked!

I was diagnosed with red and green colorblindness more than 20 years back during my first job's medical exam. At first I couldn't believe it as I can see colors but the test says otherwise. No wonder I would mistakenly identify colors once in a while specially the greens and the reds when they are together and on the same shades. I discovered the colorblind glasses a few years back but the price was quite very expensive so purchasing it was not a priority then here comes Pilestone. The price now is more affordable and taking the risk of buying it and that it might not work is lower now. Add to that, Amazon's return policy as well as the supplier guarantee is a zero risk for individuals like me to try it out. It might not work for all but I suggest you try it out for yourself. With this glasses, the greens are more green and reds are brighter including the oranges and the yellows. I usually look at most reds as more darker and flat and would usually say that they are maroon in color but now they are deeper and brighter and really red. Traffic lights are sharper too. The whites though are more pinkish but quite tolerable as the glasses are tinted with a unique shade of red and blue. Try it out if you have the red and green colorblind condition. If it doesn't work for then you can just return it and get your refund.

Work well, but lenses are darker than pictured

I took a star off because the glasses a received do not match the picture. The lenses have a brown tint. I assume that the tint is needed. I bought these for my fiancé who can’t see red very well. I thought they would be a good idea as we pick out decor for the house and wedding things. It might also help him purchasing clothes. I wanted the lenses to look more like regular glasses but it’s ok, I don’t think that technology is there yet. When he put them on, he noticed differences in the room right away. He wore them around for a day and they were comfortable. I don’t think he will be using them for everyday wear because the tint makes it hard to see in low light. I tried them on and it’s exactly like wearing sunglasses inside. However, as needed or in bright environments these are great!
