I have a handheld that I was using for small stuff but this is a handheld on steroids.I bought this because I thought it would greatly assist me (and my back) in keeping my laminate floors clean when I didn't want to lug out the old broom and boy, was I right!!It is so light to handle and swivels every which way. I love the light on the front which illuminates the dirt on the floor. Also, it is a handheld vacuum, which detaches if you need to, but I mainly just use it in the upright position.The only negative, and it isn't that bad, is that you need to go over the floor's edges twice...the outer edge suction isn't strong enough to get some of the dirt when you run the vacuum parallel to the edges.It is a great addition to my supply of cleaning tools. I don't have any grandchildren yet but my boyfriend's 13 year old granddaughter was enamored by it.

One of the selling points for me was that the Roomie Tech comes with its own charging stand. No more charging with a separate battery or learning the vacuum against the wall to have it fall over. The stand keeps the Roomie in place and charging. I like that it is lightweight and easy to use. Suction is good when used on the higher power level. I think this works best for small apartments or for quick pick ups. Another plus is the vacuum part can be removed and you have a version of a dust buster. Two vacuums in one. Emptying the dust does mean removing the portable vacuum to empty the try but it all clicks back into place

I LOVE this vacuum! It’s very lightweight but also powerful enough to clean well. I love the lights on the front that help me see small bits I may have missed. The head rotates easily to bend around corners of furniture easily. It also has the detachable hand vacuum which is great for small jobs and my car. It takes up very little space and is always charged up and ready to go! The bagless waste receptacle is easy to empty too. I have no complaints! Good price point for an awesome little vacuum!

I was so excited about this vacuum! It was exactly what I was hoping for, but after about six months, the motor just doesn't work anymore. The suction power is really weak. Makes it almost pointless in using. Which I'm really sad about. Because I love the design, functionality, the vacuum light, easy of cleaning the filter, charging base, detachable smaller handheld part, light weight and size. It just needs a more powerful motor and it would be perfect!
UPDATE: I have washed the filter and it is working much better now. I need to be more diligent in that. I still wish it was more powerful, but cleaning the dirty filter and brush blade made a big difference.

What a great cordless sweeper! Just love this thing. Has a charging stand receiver to the sweeper stand upright on its own while charging. Amazed at how efficient it was a pulling up pet hairs and cleaning the carpet and solid floors. Really lightweight and front lights illuminate the front of the sweeper. Then there's the detachable hand held unit that does all the work for the sweeper. Looks sleek and has an small 6inch extender attachment to clean furnishings. I purchased these however did not realize that the lights would quit working so easily. The minute you swivel the vacuum to go around furniture the lights quit working. I looked at the user guide but it does not address this issue. I wrote to the company which they told me how to take the brush out which I knew how to do but it doesn't help this issue. It also explained all about the hand vac, which I clean every single time and know all about it. However they did not address the question of the lights not working nor does the product guide address this issue. If you are alright with the lights not working, which I am not, then it is alright. I purposely purchased this cordless stick vac with lights because I love the fact that it comes with them. I purchased two more for my children, but had the same issue. They are not great gifts when the lights do not work!!!! Please, it would be great if the product guide addressed how to fix this issue and the company customer service would address the question instead of explaining how to clean and remove hair from the roller brush and how to clean the hand vac. When you take the head off the vac works and put a new head on it the lights work so it is something to do with the two pins in the head that must be worn enough that it is not making the proper connection for the lights to work. I would love to know if anyone else had the same issue???

First, I want to say this is probably the best cordless stick vacuum I have ever used in terms of functionalities and convenience. I own multiple of them. There are a lot to like about this vacuum. However, there is a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR design flaw that caused all of my units to break for the exact same reason. I will get into it later. But first I want to cover the pros.
Pro:
1. Excellent battery life, even after repeated charging, there is no degradation in capacity.
2. Very easy and comfortable to use. Great suction and cleaning power.
3. Rubber bumper around the roller head so you don't have to worry about bumping into Furnitures.
4. Bright light to show where the dirt is.
5. Easy to maneuver

Now, now the biggest problem. All my units have broken for one reason, the roller head stopped working. The roller brush does not work anymore after less than a year of use, granted, I use it on a daily basis. You can still use it as a hand vacuum as the motor and battery still works great, but you can no longer use it for floors. I took the roller head apart and found out the cause. There are two wires that connect the vacuum to the roller head to power the roller and the LED light. The two wires are too thin and very easily break. If you twist and maneuver the vacuum too much as most of us do on floors, it will eventually break the thin wire, causing the roller head to lose power. It happened on all of the units I own. I tried to fix it by reconnecting the wires, but eventually it will break again.

This is very sad!!!. because I love this vacuum. I tried to use other brands, including some brand names, but none of them is as nice and easy to use as this one. However, given it has this major design flaw, I can't use them anymore. The problem can be easily fixed by making the wires thicker and more durable, or putting some sleeves around it to protect it. I hope the manufacturer will see this review and improve their product.

I am very impressed with this little device. I am replacing a Bosch battery vacuum due to the lack of battery power so I looked at newer models of battery powered vacuums. This stood out on all the good reviews it had received. Had this a month scan safely add to the good reviews and I am very critical of vacuums and loath many of the problems they so needlessly produce by lack of thought for the user. Reasons to buy this. Its cheaper but not in product quality. It has excellent suction. It is very light. It is easy to put away on the stand and it does that it bloody stands up!! haleluah. How hard is that Bosch designers !!! It is so easy to make into a hand held so I can now, while it is still running, click off the unit to a hand held and suck round the window sills for the dead flies!! or spiders that think they can live in my house. Not any more!!! It is so easy to empty and put back together. The G tech is crap in comparison as everything is down on the floor this doesn't need you to bend down at all it is all at waist height and where does all this dirt and fluff come from it finds it is truly amazing, no big fuss about cleaning anymore just pick it up and clean it up. To all young mums please train your boys to do this job so a) it normalises men hoovering after themselves and b) if they become designers of vacuums they know what they are supposed to do, vacuum, stand up, and be emptied and put back together without getting the crap all over the user!!

I've had this vacuum for just under a month and have used it about a dozen times. It's very lightweight and easy to push around. It feels sturdy in my hand and is a good height for me to use. I've only had to clean the brushes twice so far. I love that it's cordless; the charger is also very minimal and doesn't take up much space. I have it in a corner of my kitchen. Every time I'm done, I just set the vacuum back on it and it charges itself up for next time.

This vacuum is ideal for smaller spaces. It typically takes me about 20-30 minutes to do my apartment and it stays on the whole time. I have yet to have it die on me while vacuuming so I really hope that lasts. The sucking power isn't quite as strong as I would've hoped, but this vacuum does have two modes and I have only used the more powerful mode once - I assume the battery won't last as long that way.

One con that I have noticed, and which a couple other reviews mentioned, is that it can be a little hard to put back together when you empty it. The section for dust/dirt is small and I usually empty it every second vacuum depending on how much cat fur I've sucked up. It's very easy to take apart, but I did have trouble once or twice trying to put it back together (once I thought it was together and began to vacuum using just the handheld, only to have it fall apart!). However, it only takes a few extra seconds to push it together and so long as it doesn't get any more difficult with time, I wouldn't consider this a serious enough flaw to dissuade me from recommending the vacuum.

I will add that one feature I love is the lights on the front of it. My floor is grey and so are my cats, which can make seeing fur tricky. I can't count how many times the lights have picked up a piece of fur which I otherwise did not see. They will also be very helpful come winter, when it gets dark out so early.

As said above, this vacuum is ideal for smaller places or apartments. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a large house as I don't think the battery would hold out. Also, I'm not sure how well it would do on carpet. My apartment is tile floor or laminate. I do have two small rugs which it does a good job on. But overall it's a good vacuum for a decent price.

Good dirt pick up, can be enhanced by booster, gives good cleaning performance. We bought it for a 40’x20’ lodge and it does all the way through with no charging issue, maybe 30 minutes. Also like the fact that it has a charging stand to top up when not in use. Lightweight enough for twice to use - she has arthritis and her grip is not the best. Overall, an excellent choice for the purpose, we prefer it to the Gtech which we have also used.
