Great magnification with 3X and 45X lens
Never thought I’d be reviewing a magnifying glass, but this one is special. It’s not the typical old dinosaur aged magnifying lens. This is more modern. It has a 3X lens which gives good magnification for most needs, and then there’s a small 45X lens which provides even more magnification if needed. The great thing about this is that it has a button to illuminate what you’re magnifying if needed by 3 LED lights.It appears to be well made. Good thick plastic, which is easy to hold and is lightweight. Overall, I’m really pleased with this purchase and would recommend for anyone in search of a magnifying lens.Note: Needs 3 AAA batteries, which aren’t included.

    I needed a new magnifying glass. I had a good one and my husband placed it "someplace safe". That was over a year ago. So I started looking for a new one. And of course the day after I received it, the other one mysteriously appeared! I keep this one hidden from my husband. I allow him to use it but then it goes back safely to it's hideaway.     I would recommend this for around the house use. I didn’t find this helpful for reading due to the lens size. I’m not sure how this would serve in hobbies where magnifying glasses are most used but it certainly served its purpose for me.

    Folks, I don’t know if my eyes are failing as I get older or if the fine print is getting smaller on maps, advertising, instructions and product information, but I finally decided that I had to do something about it.

    I am happy with this professional magnifying glass. I use it daily and it has solved my problem.

    It magnifies to 3X, 10X and 45X and has 3 small LED lights with an on/off button to brighten up the image when it is otherwise too dark to see.

    Heck, I even discovered what the secret markings on the inside of my Irish Cladder Ring are. Although for several decades, I suspected they were Chinese symbols; however, the small jeweler’s magnifying glass reveal that those markings are actually a series of tiny letters and numbers. I don’t know what they mean, but at least I know that they are not Chinese symbols.

    While this product in small enough to fit into the back pocket of my jeans, it has a thick, comfortable and easy to grip handle with an easy to load 3-triple A battery receptacle.

    This is a durable, well-made, very functional magnifying glass that solves my fine print reading problem. It is well-worth the price.

    I am happy to recommend this product to friends, family and others are tired of the numerous examples of unreadable fine print.

    I love this product. It is absolutely helpful in cleaning my hearing aids. Not much is smaller than the crevices and holes in which ear wax hides a hearing aid. Enter the Professional Magnifying Glass. I have tried other lighted magnifying glasses, even held on small stands with helping hands, but usually the glass or the holder itself partially blocked the view and the ambient light and the magnifying power is inadequate for the job. Hearing aid speakers and the sound holes of the speaker protection cover are so small, they are practically impossible to see any wax that might be blocking sound, but yet those are the likely places that ear wax hides. This device reveals everything, clearly and brightly. It clearly displays, with its light, the holes in the speaker cover during the cleaning process, which are either still clear and free, and those which are still clogged and would rob the wearer of sound should they not be clean. This device has a powerful magnifying glass, more so than I found at hobby stores, plus built into the handle, there is a small circle glass, with the same bright view, of an even stronger power and which allows a view similar to microscope viewing and which also uses the light for viewing. Neither of the two viewing glasses within the handle have introduced any shake to me, by hand holding the device. I see clear, lighted, rock steady views. Bravo!

    So for $10 you get a decent quality magnifying glass, with the standard design of a 3" lens for 3x magnifcation and 1" lens for 45x magnifcation. It uses 3 LEDs, all in standard formation as many other 'classic' handheld magnifying glass.

    Some maginfying glasses have LEDs that are placed poorly and cause reflections or glares on the material you are looking at. This magnifying glass seems to have strategically placed the LEDs so as to reduce this problem. Don't automatically assume a magnifying glass with 8 LEDs is better. It all depends on your intended usage.

    Giving this 3 stars because of misleading advertising. It is IMPOSSIBLE for this to do 3 levels of magnifcations as it only has 2 fixed lenses. Their own description even trips up on this.. "This particular tool has been equipped with three levels of magnification (3x and 45x) so you can appropriately".. 3 levels of magnifaction but then says only two in the parenthesis... hmm....

    So for $10, its good enough for your everyday use, hasn't broken after a couple of months. But why they claim it does 3 levels of magnifcation when it can't is a mystery.. probably to hit on the 10x keyword in amazon search.
