I purchased this case before the release of the iPhone X, so obviously I cannot speak to the fit of this case with the phone. However, I already own one of these cases in a different color for my iPhone 7 Plus and I have found the fit on the older phone to be fantastic.
It's been a long time since I've owned such a bulky case, opting instead for a 'naked' phone or perhaps a bumper for quite a while. But I change my phone every year, and I've had a lot of luck selling my 'old' phone for decent money. Clearly the better condition I keep my phone, the higher the price it commands when selling.
Despite this being a much more 'bulky' case than I'm used to, I found the Monarch to be surprisingly unobtrusive, and very attractive in a rugged kind of way. This sleek design, mostly black look, with carbon fiber really looks fantastic. It feels good in the hand. Just the perfect amount of grip, without being cumbersome to add or remove from a pocket. While I tend not to throw my phone on the ground just to see if it survives, there have been plenty of tests on these Urban Armor Gear cases on YouTube and they seem to hold up well.
In conclusion, this seems to be an excellent amount of protection, bulky without being stupid. With good utility, grip, build quality and pleasing look and finish. I feel like I got a really premium case for a very fair price.

Lives Up To The Hype — A Report On Drops
I’ve been an Otterbox person in the past but was tired of the bulk of those cases. I ended up watching a bunch of drop-test videos online and saw the UAG Monarch do really well in all of them.Enough of the nonsense — here’s what’s happened when I’ve dropped the phone from multiple heights onto multiple surfaces —4 foot drop from pocket to cement — no blemishes and phone still functions perfectly.Multiple drops (I’d say 4-5 of them) from the couch to hardwood floor (so about 3 feet) — no signs of wear and phone functions perfectly.2 drops in street from hand or pocket — again, no damage.Drop from the top of large flight of stairs to the bottom, tumbling head over head with multiple loud, hard impacts (which just happened and inspired me to write this review) — no damage.In summary, I *highly* recommend the UAG Monarch. For the protection is provides, it’s relatively slim, and it has a really stylish design (I got the black Carbon Fibre model) and this case has proven to me that it does what I bought it for.Great job UAG, you’ve made me a lifelong customer.

Nice material, lightweight and sturdy

Like others, we have been loyal Otterbox users. After reading reviews for the cases for the new iPhone Xs, I was concerned that the Otterbox might not be the best choice. It seemed like a good time to try something new with great reviews. I really like the feel of the Monarch carbon fiber case. While it's not heavy, it is very sturdy. I haven't dropped the phone (yet), but other reviewers have had good results (and no damage). I added a screen protector, and I'm very happy with this case. It is a bit expensive, but the phone is really expensive. I want it well protected.

Am 16.11.2020 bestellt, traf die Schale endlich am 10.12.2020 bei mir ein.
Meine Befürchtungen, es könnte sich dabei, in Anbetracht des überaus günstigen Preises um eine Produktfälschungen handeln, bestätigten sich nicht. Was ich auspackte, war eindeutig eine Originalschale von Urban Amor Gear. Zudem weiß ich inzwischen, dass zwar unzählige Fälschungen dieser hervorragenden Marke im Umlauf sind, dass die bei Amazon und vor allem im Amazon Global Store garantiert echt sind, da sie von offiziellen Resellern stammen.
Was ich in der Hand hielt war zunächst eine sehr schön designte Umverpackung von UAG. Der Klarsichtdeckel war leicht grau eingefärbt, passend zu der schwarzen Farbe des Carbon-Cases. Alles in allem sehr edel.
Die Schale selbst war ein klares Highlight. Von der Qualität und dem Design eigentlich nur den ebenfalls sehr hochwertigen Elementcase Produkten ebenbürtig.
Mein iPhone X ließ sich dann auch problemlos in die Schale einsetzen. Das wackelt nichts. Perfekt angepasst. Alle Aussparungen sind exakt zugeschnitten, die Knöpfe wie Laut/Leise oder An/Aus ließen sich mit den Abdeckungen der Schale sehr einfach und leicht bedienen. Man spürt einen sehr deutlichen Druckpunkt.
Das Case ist definitiv ein echter Hingucker und es wertet das Design des iPhones nochmal auf, auch wenn es natürlich etwas klobiger wird. Ich finde aber den Kompromiss zwischen Sicherheit und Ästhetik wunderbar erreicht.
Von mir eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung für dieses schöne Stück!
