It's not hard to clean as others have said...yeah, it doesn't come apart, but you can easily pour some vinegar in it, remove the steamer wand, and use a bottle brush to scrub the inside - it actually comes with it's a brush to clean it. I can smell the ozone when I use this with the ozone setting, so it's legit. The steam when the ozone is on is my favorite part. It's thick white steam that you can get relatively close to your face without burning it. It's great for your face, hair, and clearing your sinuses. Regular humidifiers are dangerous because they are the perfect breeding ground for mold and bacteria, but ozone will kill all germs, so I feel better using this with the ozone setting knowing that the ozone is not only killing the bacteria on me but in the device as well. The hair attachment is cool too. If you haven't looked up the benefits of ozone, you need to in order to understand how it works and why it's so good for you. Ozone is nature's secret for so many things. That's what sold me on this and I'm glad I bought it. Highly recommend

I used to steam my hair when I was a growing up and it was really life giving to my hair. Here in the states, dryers are used for treatments instead of steamers and definitely not the same. I'm not saying there are no steamers, you will find them but fewer than hair dryers. I have black 4C hair which loves, moisture, treatments and a good 'Ol' steaming is the best for that. So I bought this tried and the steamer works great, produces the right amount of steam, easy to assemble, clean and store. I bought this to fit on my counter and I put a high chair underneath and it works great. Highly recommend if you are looking to invest in a portable steamer that does the job.

Secondly, I loved the multipurpose use for a face-steamer. I love to invest in self-care and steaming my face is something I do once a month or more if I have time. The facial steamer piece works ok and the only reason I did not give 5 stars is that wish the steam was as thick as the hair steamer. Takes longer to steam my face but I love the essential oil add option which I use with my favorite essential oils. When I use a pot of boiling hot water and just cover my head with a towel, my face steams better than the piece on this steamer but this is much safer I guess. I love the product. Use it on myself and my 14 year old daughter. Just be careful handling the steamer, it's not as sturdy and the boiling hot water may scald someone badly if it topples over.

This steamer will get the job done. As far as functionality, it works but be gentle because it is plastic. The water gets very hot. Sit it on a low table so you can sit comfortably under it. I saw some reviews saying it doesn't cover the whole head. It does. Unless i just have a pea size head lol. The trick is, sit in a high seating chair so you can utilize the whole hood. Its just positioning. The cord it not long so the kitchen counter top is perfect. But for low wall outlets , you would need an extension cord. Overall, just buy it.

I have 3C/4A fine + dense collar-length curly/coily hair. I have great conditioners & styling creams that I love and can usually make my hair last a week & a half but my hair would still be crunchy by the end of the week bc I'm lazy and don't oil every night plus I workout. Who wants to do hair every week?? Enter this beauty!! It infuses so much moisture I can last a full two weeks w/o my hair getting crunchy - and this is with working out 4 days a week and living in the sucky dry LA air.

I also tried it with the Olaplex treatment - love it! And, if you are like me and go two weeks between washing, I highly recommend trying the steam before shampooing to loosen all that product, sweat, and oil. My hair definitely was much cleaner and the other products worked even better. I switch off using it with my PIBBS drier to deep condition.

I used the facial steamer and - WHOA - did my face routine get a boost! I followed the cleanse-steam-exfoliate-mask&steam-serum/moisturizer routine and dang my skin is bright and clean and smooth. I could legit feel the products absorbing after the steam.

Stopped working after one use

It only worked once. When I plug it in the lights come on and flash but nothing happens, the water doesn't get hot. I bought it in December, it worked fine in January. I tried using it a couple weeks ago, it didn't work, I figured I'd done something wrong. Tried again today, made sure it was plugged in long enough to heat the water but it still doesn't work. Very disappointed.

This steamer is amazing! I originally purchased it because I had an inflamed scalp (which has now calmed down tremendously) I use this once a week with my homemade aloe/coconut milk/avocado hair treatment or a simple oil treatment. My hair has grown from a little under collarbone length to almost touching my armpit! I am so happy that I spent the extra coins!!! Highly recommend for those with low porosity, type 3c/4a curls. My wash&gos and twist outs have never looked better!!
My only complaint is you do need to rotate around every now and then because the majority of the steam is in the front and I pin my hair to the top of my head because the steam doesn’t go much further than the dome. It does also leak in the back so I would recommend putting a towel across your shoulders or folded right behind you just to avoid hot water droplets.
Overall, I would not trade it in for anything else!!!
