These things are great. Worked just as well as one would expect with these sort of rechargeable units and being able to swap out batteries is super handy. That always seems to be the best thing, purchase multiple batteries. That way you can charge one while using the other.

Weed eater does a decent job, though it wouldn't be suitable for any serious kind of jobs. Trimming around the yard - it's perfect. I have a ditch that I can't hit with the mower and after my gas push mower crapped out I've been using the weed eater. Running full bore, it makes it almost the whole way (4 foot wide sweeping path approximately 50 yards).

The blower is strong enough to push around leaves and grass but so light my 3 year old daughter is able to pick it up and use it (and she loves to help). They're very simple to operate as well so now worried about them dropping or messing it up.

I liked these so much I've ordered the push mower to replace my gas push mower that died. Really only need it for the ditch and some close-quarter side yard spots I can't hit with the riding mower.

This is for the pair of devices -- a string trimmer/edger and blower from Worx. Tried them out a few times in our yards, and functioned pretty well for our purposes. Mom is nearly 90, but very active, and actually gets on her old hands and knees to trim the grass that a mower doesn't in her yard. So, I appreciate her physicality and efforts, but she could do in 20 minutes with this string edger her whole driveway. And also, it is light enough she can use the trimmer to get at grassy spots along the edges of her garden beds and poles. The blower is pretty good, but loud like a powerful hair dryer. I told her to put in earplugs when she uses the devices, but for all her care about her yard, she doesn't always protect her body when she's trying to get a job done. I think the batteries lasted toward 20 minutes each of working time. They recharged quick enough.

I did think the spool on the string feeder was confusing. It does not appear to be an automatic feeder snd there's no button on the handle. I felt like I had to push a button on the spool to pull the string out every few minutes. And every time I looked at it, it was an inch too short. Do, didn't like that. Trimmer has a telescoping handle and it twists with a button 90 degrees to switch from trimmer to edger. The front grip handle can be angled forward wnd backward for your needs, but I couldn't really figure out which position to put it in. And the position slipped out of poace a couple of times, like the button mechanism wasn't locking it properly.

The weirdest thing to me is the front part of the trimmer when converting from edger to trimmer. You are supposed to put your foot on the top part of the base, and then either lay the pole down or lift it up to an angle. And it makes this clicking plastic noise, that sounds like I must be stripping s9me gear snd not doing it right. But apparently, that is how it is done. It is not explained in the manual. I had to watch the company videos to see it briefly done. Honestly, it makes me think it won't last for long. For now, it is fine. Mom is shrinking down towards being 5' tall and everything hurts. (Her old neighbor gave her a corded electric trimmer that is powerful but not cordless, and the handle is not adjustable, and it weighs so much that your back hurts a lot after just a few minutes.) In comparison to the old corded electric trimmer she had, this one is easier, lighter, just her size and and ai could use it too and there's a foot difference in height between us. So, it fit our needs mostly.

The trimmer will cut grass, but I did not see it do well with like tufts of grass roots sticking up in cracks on the driveway, and it probably won't do well to take down the thicker Iris leaves now that is fall. The only safety issues were the noise level of the blower, and the sort of open-area of the string trimmer. I was afraid she'd trim her foot the way she was standing, but she didn't and all was well for now.

Used this for my tiny front and back yard (detached townhouse style). The battery lasts about 40-45 minutes, which isn't very long, so I had to charge it in between both yards. The edger attachment is so convenient and isn't hard to put on or take off at all! The entire trimmer feels lighter than a gasoline-powered trimmer, but it still has some weight to it. I am really pleased with this purchase, because of the affordable price and ease of use! The only downside is it doesn't last too long before it needs to be charged, however with someone that has more skill edging (as in, not messing up the edge five thousand times haha) might get the job done faster.

I've used a Worx hedge trimmer for a couple of years with good results and because of that positive experience I ordered the weed eater and blower combo expecting similar performance. I was disappointed with what I received. The weed eater is very light weight but not in a good way. It feels almost like a toy rather than a yard tool. I hold my breath whenever I make adjustments to the cutting head fearing something is going to break. Cuts fairly well with a fully charged battery but performance falls off quickly during use. The included spool of line failed after it's second use. I had ordered extra line with the combo so I had a replacement on hand and so far it's working ok. The blower is ok but not as powerful as I would like. These tools are medium duty at best.
