Introducing the LSAT: The Fox Test Prep Quick & Dirty LSAT Primer Paperback – December 25, 2012
Purchase options and add-ons
Introducing the LSAT jumpstarts your LSAT preparation with a concise explanation of the test's most common concepts. This might not be the only LSAT book you read, but it should definitely be the first.
In his down-to-earth, often irreverent style, Nathan demystifies the confusing world of logic games, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension. In no time, you'll start to see through the BS and dominate the test. The approaches are easy to digest, and will stick with you when you finally sit down for the big day.
No nonsense. No made-up, trademarked buzzwords. No confusing jargon. And best of all, no pulled punches. Plus, you’ll also find out how you can contact Nathan directly with your questions.
So grab a pencil and crack this book. Let's get it on.

Editorial Reviews
From the Author
Painless: There's not a lot of fluff in any of my LSAT books, but in this one I pared down the BS even further than usual. All the major bases are covered, and in an extremely short amount of time the reader will be armed with the basic strategies required to attack the test. Start here. If you like my style and want to go deeper, you can.
Cheap: I'm selling this book at cost -- by the time I pay my LSAC license fee and Amazon's printing and distribution costs, I make exactly nothing from this book. It's the most I can give without actually losing money.
Hope you like it! I'd love to hear what you think.

About the author
I teach LSAT classes in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and online. Please call me any time: 415-518-0630.
I took the official LSAT in February of 2007, and scored 179. In 2008, I enrolled at UC Hastings Law. It was the best school within biking distance from my home in San Francisco's Mission District. I was 32 years old at the time, and I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I already had a Master's degree in journalism. I already had an MBA. I'd already held, hated, and supremely sucked at a succession of jobs.
I graduated from Hastings but I happily didn't take the bar. Because the same year I started law school, I discovered my true passion and obvious calling in life. I'm not a lawyer. I'm a teacher.
I know it's my calling because, for the first time in my life, I'm doing the thing that 1) I'm good at, 2) I love, and 3) I can get paid for. If this describes you at your current occupation, then please walk away from the LSAT. For good. Seriously! Because professionally, that's as good as it's going to get.
For the rest of you, I'll assume you haven't yet found your calling. If law school will help you find it, then I'll do my damnedest to help you get in. My goal isn't just to squeak you into a mediocre school. My goal is to get you a scholarship, and/or help you get into a truly great school. My personal information is included in all my books. Call me, please. Email me. I'm here to help.

I like this book but love the author more because he dares to go deeper and helps the student understand the LSAT instead of just teaching it. His book reminds me of the saying, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
My fears of the LSAT were captured and killed by this book. I am ready for war! I rarely write reviews because frankly I don't have time. But, it was the reviews of others that prompted me to buy this book so I feel like I owe it to others to say "Hey, this book has changed the LSAT game for me." I will be able to study better since I know that I have more control over my score than LSAC. As a matter of fact, for the first time I am ready for the games to begin. Thank you Nathan Fox for helping me realize that I can kill this Goliath!
Because I believe this author is truly dedicated to helping others get their best score on LSAT, I have purchased and will be starting his online LSAT prep course, Fox LSAT on Demand, as soon as materials/textbooks arrive. I recommend that others read this book prior to studying any prep materials. For example, if you go to the gym and do 100 squats everyday but never learn proper form, you could potentially be wasting your time and see no results or even worse injure yourself. It's better to understand the LSAT before you tackle it. Do yourself a favor and start with proper form. This book is the way to start.
Nathan Fox's "Introducing the LSAT" is not that kind of book. He is brash and straight-to-the point... but in a good way. The way that forces you to get off of your hammock and actually take the time to practice.
Yes, one of Fox's secrets is that there is no secret to getting a higher score - just practice. So how does this book help, you may ask. "Introducing..." breaks down each section of the LSAT and explains the process and reasoning behind his solutions. It explains why some choices are BS while some may initially smell like BS, but are not. Instead of simply listing an answer key at the back of the book, he takes the time to elaborate on how he arrives at each and every answer.
Most importantly, he encourages us to take a combative attitude towards this standardized test. For reading comprehension questions, he urges us to ask the test makers, "Why are you wasting my time with this [passage]?" I have found that this mindset to be more effective than, "I don't get this text!"
"Introducing the LSAT" is a compact booklet that is dense with practical test taking tips. Most of what Fox preaches can also be applied onto other standardized tests. Find out why it has helped so may students on their path to law school.
