From the brand
-
In 1948 the brothers Hans and Heinz Emmerich designed the first small two-stroke engine weighing in at 14.3 pounds, an incredible feat for that time. Shortly after, in 1951, the brothers developed the world´s first engine driven backpack mist blower. Instead of using stationary engine driven pumps with long spray hoses and lots of manpower, the new machines were able to be operated "solo", by only one person - the birth of our future name.

The only problems that I have had are that the soft plastic tube came loose from the main tank and the trigger sometimes doesn't work correctly when locked in the ON position for too long. The plastic tube coming loose caused my pants to get wet because the fluid started coming out through the bottom. It was an easy fix and just required adjusting the tension on the clamp holding it in place. I think it came loose partly because I had put too much pressure in the tank. I deal with the trigger problem by sometimes releasing the lock when walking around and it seems to be fine.
Even with the small problems that I had I still love this unit and am glad I bought it. I would certainly buy it again if I needed a second pack.
The wand & nozzle are made of cheap, flimsy plastic. The sprayer lock mechanism is a thin, brittle plastic part that broke and now I can no longer lock the trigger. Sometimes the sprayer continues dripping after you've released the trigger.
The shoulder straps are really narrow and need to be wider. It claims 4 gallons, but you can really only get about 3 1/4 gallons in it. The top lid is not watertight and if you fill it with more than 2.5-3 gallons, liquid sloshes around and leaks out of it. Just a big disappointment. NOT a commercial grade product in the least.
It was easy to unpack and get started with.
The pump arm works great. It is so nice to be able to pump a sprayer without having to put it on flat ground. And I do not have to pump it as much as one of those cheap sprayers that you carry and have to place on the ground to pump. I can keep my spray pattern consistent by quickly and easily doing one more pump using the arm, which really speeds up my work.
Only time will tell how well it holds up, but so far I love it. Well worth the money.
