Heavy duty, drip free oil bottles

I wasted $50 on a metal oil can for olive oil that I bought on Amazon and it dripped and eventually leaked around the seams. I needed some sort of oil dispenser because I cook every day and I picked up two of these for $10. I use one for extra virgin olive oil and the other for vegetable oil and in a word, they are excellent. I can see how much oil is in them, they do NOT drip, they dispense the oil evenly and they are easy to wipe clean. They are also very heavy glass - restaurant quality bottles - the kind you see in Greek restaurants on the tables. The pouring spout looks like a standard liquor spout but for $10 for two of them, it doesn't matter. Sometimes the best solutions are inexpensive and simple like these bottles.

Works exactly like you would expect. I needed this because I drizzle olive oil over many things before, during, and after cooking. I kept pouring too much oil without it, going straight from the bottle. This slows the flow down to where you can be more accurate and even. It's pretty enough to keep out on the counter with my glass salt and pepper grinders. I considered buying more for vinegar, but I have 4-5 types of vinegar and I'm not putting all of them in pretty bottles for the counter when they are just fine stored in my cabinets. Maybe if I find I start using one more than the others, like balsamic, I may get another bottle, but I use a lot of apple cider and white vinegar too. I even use rice vinegar and red wine vinegar. With the add-on price program, you can't beat it.

What else can you say about this type of product? It either works or it doesn't! I use it for dispensing olive oil. The tip/cork is easy to twist off to fill up the bottle and easy to twist back on again. What I like about this product is that it's easy to pour and with the curved spout, you don't get the liquid/oil spilling all over the bottle. It's also well made out of thick glass but easy to see what the contents are. Pretty easy to clean also. Will probably have to get a few more of these.

I bought this a few months ago and I received the product as pictured. I am using mine on my bathroom counter. I use a pink mouthwash in the container and that matches the color in my bathroom. I have Dixie cups in a tabletop dispenser to use with it and it looks really nice. I like that I could use it for many reasons, oil, vinegar, mouth wash and dish soap. I think I will get another for my kitchen for soap, it works so well in the restroom I think it would look better than a spdish soap bottle on the counter next to the sink. There are a lot of other ideas on line for these bottles.

Have no idea what has caused the complaints about these bottles by some purchasers. They have a nice light green tint, are a good size, And seem to be made of nice thicker glass than one I bought for double the price here on Amazon that was very thing glass and it fell and shattered into many, many, very small pieces.

I like these a lot better.

Here is the free tip. If you live close to a 'Bed, Breakfast & Beyond' and have not yet bought the pour spots for the bottles, they have perfect fit, removable, washable spouts that are 2 for 4 bucks. These spouts fit perfect with these bottles. Not all spouts do as I had a different kind and they did not sit all the way down in the neck. The were the kind you use to pour whiskey with in a bar.

Better yet, if you are thinking of ordering one or more of these bottles, the sell at the same price as here, but come with the spouts included. If you are planning to buy two, one for cooking oil, and one for olive oil, you save 4 bucks buying at BB&B.

The bottles are clean, simple, elegant, and are very affordable. All you need and no more.

I've been getting gradually more and more fed up with the plastic container the supermarket oil comes in. You can't pour just a small amount of oil from it, you can't stop the whole outside of it getting covered in oil, and the cap is just pure covered-in-excess-oil evil. So I just decided I've had enough, I'm buying the glass bottles. One for the olive oil and one for the unhealthy oil. They are pretty and the pourer works well - although I bought a pourer in the past from somewhere which came with a little cap (I don't know where I got it now unfortunately) - these don't. I hope this won't be a problem.

I only have one issue - why oh why can't these be large enough to hold 1 litre of oil? They only hold half the contents of the plastic container so the horrid thing still sits there, mocking me, until I've used enough to empty it into the glass bottle completely.
